Social interaction simulation title The Sims 3 is migrating from PC and Mac to 360, Wii, DS and PS3: This fall will see a full scale console release for the title. Along with the usual life bars and virtual dollhouse building, the console versions of the game will feature some features unique to their new homes:
- The 360 and PS3 versions will allow players to be "more connected than ever before as they design, build, and share their creations and download content from other players around the world without ever leaving the game. Facing short and long term challenges, players will reap rewards and trophies and can even share achievements with friends by connecting to Facebook."
- The Wii version will feature a new town, adventure quests, and allow you to play The Sims 3 with friends by "going head to head in the new 'Life Moments' game to earn rewards."
- The Nintendo DS version will allow you to use the stylus to customize "virtually everything from décor objects, textures, and more. Players will use the stylus to sculpt their Sims’ facial features, choose hair styles and clothing, and dictate personalities in the most robust Create a Sim yet for a handheld game."
What do you think? Are you interested in the Sims 3 for your console or choice? Or is this a game you plan to politely decline?

If this turns out to be a complete console port, with all of the functions of the PC version, it would be pretty cool. I just hope that it isn't a "built from the ground up specifically for consoles" crapfest like Civilization: Revolution.

As a person who mainly leans toward the shooters. I have to say I'm pretty hyped for this =D

I hope it's similar to the PC version, if possible. The Sims 2 on the consoles were terrible IMO. Of course, consoles were a lot more limited back then. Perhaps a full-scale Sims game is now possible on a console? I really hope so!

awesome hopefully it's not a gimped down version

Why do they still make these games? Seriously. It stopped being fun when that damn child services person stole my baby after I lit the room on fire. What- the other tombstones were lonely. Damn people trying to tell me how to run my sim life!!!

They should add blue tooth keyboard and mouse support for ps3. What am I saying? I hate the Sims.

I remember playing the first Sims game on the original XBox and having a lot of fun with it. Looking forward to seeing how this title turns out.

If this is the same old same old we got back when Sims and Sims 2 came to Xbox then leave it on the PC.
The low limits to how many items you could have in and around your home was annoying and easily reached.Oh you want a pool? have to sell the hot tub! oh you want to add an addition to your house? sorry you can't place anymore walls.
Sims on consoles end up being about 50% of what the PC version provides.
I understand consoles just can't handle what a PC can but there is a line they should not cross over if they can't port a majority of the game.

For the 360, it would be cool if you could use your Avatar.

I already have Home, that is plenty for me.

very excited! I have not always enjoyed The Sims 3 on the consoles but theses new features sound interesting and it will be very interesting to see how they use them. I have always been more of a PC player for my sims :)
