Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is one of my favorite games of all time, and I really enjoyed the 2008 reboot Prince of Persia, so seeing the franchise return to its Sands of Time roots in Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is somewhat bitter sweet for me. Still, I recently spent a few hours with the new Prince, and I came away more eager than ever to see what the rest of the game has in store. Here’s a taste:
“My favorite level was The Prison, which consisted of a giant chasm filled with giant lantern-shaped cells hanging from the ceiling. Obviously, as I was climbing across my second cage, other cages started to detach from the ceiling and fall into the pit below. This led to a daring dash from cage to cage as I tried to stay one step ahead of the falling cells. Needless to say, it was awesome.”
There’s plenty more where that came from in my full Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands hands-on preview. And be sure to check back tomorrow for my impresssions of Forgotten Sands for Wii.
