You’ve read the preview. You’ve checked out the special editions. You won’t be able to play the multiplayer beta for yourself until May 3, but that doesn’t mean you should deprive yourself of ingesting as much Halo: Reach info as you can in the meantime. Assisting in this effort is the newest ViDoc from Bungie, entitled Carnàge Carnivàle, which takes you behind the scenes with the developers as they discuss what players can expect from the multiplayer beta. looks pretty cool, but a little too much like CoD what with the loadouts, not saying its bad just saying it doesnt seem like the old halo 1 and 2 (to was da bezt) and i just hope things like that instant sheild and knifes get abussed. i may not buy it but i will definaately use my freind's copy for like a month strait

What I have to say I'm not excited about is that it doesn't look like Bungie has learned anything since Halo 2 about their matchmaking scheme. I absolutely can't stand starting a 4 vs. 4 match where guys drop out and then it's like a 4 vs. 2 or 4 vs. 1 scenario and all I can think about is "Boy, this sucks! Do I quit too? Or do I get my butt kicked until the time runs out?" I've loved Halo since I bought the original on opening night and stood in line for the original XBOX. But I have to say I prefer MW2 multiplayer because if some dude drops out, it's not the end of the world. Another guy will take his place and the game goes on.

look. I love Halo and MW2. I am not biased at all. I see strengths and weakness in both games, campaign and multiplayer. They are two different companies doing two different games. If you want ot compare and contrast then compare IW's Call of Duty with Treycarch's Call of Duty. Thats a reasonable comparison.
The mechanics are different? obviously. If we copied everyone it makes for a crappy game, I am looking at you Dantes Inferno. You leave God of War alone!
Reach looks to have finally done what everyone wanted. The best of Halo 1-3 and with some additions. The matchmaking seems to have improved significantly and I look forward to testing out various strategies with the load outs.
I am a fan. But that doesn't mean I am so dogmatic that if someone doesn't like Halo, I then call them a moron. Various developers and various games are creating and created to appeal to broad audiences and specific audiences. One can not be a perfect developer and build the perfect game that every shooter fan or every gamer will love.
One might not love Halo. Thats fine. All I ask is that one recognizes that the first Halo revolutionized the shooter and multiplayer in the shoes of Goldeneye and propelled the xbox to the forefront of gameing consoles. And Halo 2 revolutionized and was one of the many to pave the way for online console gaming.

the game developers are bad actors. it comes across scripted not genuine. anybody else didnt receive the beta code and other things while they have halo 2?

Halo is a amazing franchise. Those who say it has been milked there have been five games. How many games of COD or Metal gear? Reach is taking all the best from 1,2, and 3 and adding so much more to it it's insane. Can't wait for the Beta!!!!
