Some of Capcom's most highly praised games at last year's Tokyo Game Show are now confirmed to be coming over here to the United States, as well. At Captivate 2010 in Hawaii, the publisher showed off playable English versions of both Okamiden and Ghost Trick. Huzzah!
Okamiden, the Nintendo DS sequel to the critically acclaimed but commercially disappointing Okami, will be released sometime in 2011. The game should arrive in Japan before the end of the year, but Capcom wasn't willing to divulge a more specific date for outside its native home.
Ghost Trick, on the other hand, will be coming a bit sooner than that -- sometime this winter. Titled Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective for the US, players are tasked with saving the lives of innocents as a phantom from beyond, manipulating objects to spook those still in the real-world.
Look for hands-on impressions with both Okamiden and Ghost Trick soon. Hint: they're good.
