Microsoft Keeps Natal Price Down By Removing ChipWith Project Natal looming in the wings, you can expect Microsoft wants to keep as much under wraps with regards to its lineup of Natal titles until they make their big push during E3 2010. However, one title that has managed to slip through Microsoft’s grip a little early, River Rush.

The first details about the previously unannounced Wii Sports Resort-canoe-mini-game-clone came from the screenwriter of Slither and Dawn of the Dead James Gunn, who posted some no-hands impressions of the  on his blog after he attended a recent Microsoft event, Joystiq reports.

As for River Rush, it sounds exactly like what you’d expect a rowing game to sound like. “It’s a game where you stand side by side in a river raft, so it’s two people playing at once. To move right, you have to step right; to move left, you have to step left,” explained Gunn. Players will also have to jump up to “slap floating stars,” which actually causes the entire raft to leap into the air.

I bet River Rush, as well as the oft seen human Breakout Natal game, will be part of a compilation game akin to Wii Sports, because there’s no real way they could be full blown games on their own. Or could they?

this is just so dumb, everything about Natal and the games themselves. The reason why i bough a 360 was to play with a controller, if i really wanted to row down a river, i will go to the river itself. Why in the heck should i pretend to play all this sports? there are location out there for that reason and trust me, those who havent play them in real life, you should is a lot more fun than the wii or any Natal, or wand PS3. Nevertheless, neither i want an imaginary friend like Milo, if that i might as well go back to when i was 4yrs old, man that friend of mine will kick Milo a%^

I'll stick with my Wii thanks. When I buy a PS3, it won't be for Move...and Natal...well I'm sorry but playing Space Invaders with my arm raised the whole time isn't going to be very comfortable.

Not saying 360 and PS3 are bad at all. I am looking forward to buying a PS3 so I can have all the consoles. Just can't stand the cash grab this whole motion control fad has turned into.

At least when Nintendo launched the Wii, they did it for the right reasons.

This is more proof that Natal will be more focused on stealing nintendo's market, the more gimick games out there for your system the higher chance you'll be able to grab the attention of "casual" crowd.
Oh well if Natal has at least 5 unique games that are fun and actually something worth buying then I'll get Natal. And I decided I would wait for the WiiPlus or WiiHD instead of PSMove, unless Sony can get something extremely interesting and worth buying to play (and no I don't consider the boxing game worth buying the PSMove)

Natal seems interesting. I hope that instead of making full games only they make some like smaller games for like 800 Microsoft points online. That would be nice.

What a waste, another rehash of something already on the Wii.

Cool. I hope it gets bundled with 'panning for gold,' pitching a tent' and 'fighting a bear.'

I see potential in natal with games, like what Molyneux showed with Milo.. but not rip off Wii games. I say throw out anything already done by the wii.. try and make natal as original as possible.

wow this sounds amazing for all the wheelchair users out there like me -_-. They aint confirmed anything about settings for wheelchair users or other disabilities. wen asked on "sentuamessage" on inside xbox all they said was that some games will use a controller and natal at the same time. totally side tracking the question about disabled options on natal.

Am i the only one completely disinterested in project natal or move? I have a wii that i barely touch (read allowed that sounds pretty bad but you know what i mean) There's only so much fun to be had from flailing like an idiot, and i feel that anyone really interested in this already has a wii, why are sony and microsoft chasing after a marked thats already content with the the system that they have? a system that beat them to the motion control punch, that is already firmly rooted in the casual gamers hearts?
