Media Molecule Examining Several Digital Distribution Options For LittleBigPlanet

Ochre, a self-described Newcastle, England-based "phonographer, artist and mastering engineer," has apparently tweeted out a secret and revealed the existence of LittleBigPlanet 2 and a music track that will appear in the game.

"Pleased to announce the licensing of 'Infotain Me' to Sony for use in LittleBigPlanet 2 for PS3. #sellout #corporate whore"

This isn't the first mention of a sequel to the game, in fact, if it wasn't in the works, I'd be surprised. Also: The tweet has since been removed, which points to it not being a hoax as well, but I urge you to stay in your seat and not get too excited: Musicians and actors are both the best and worst sources for news about the gaming world. They're the be best because they often are unaware of or not interested in the marketing plans of game companies, so they'll sometimes say things they're not "supposed" to say about their involvement in upcoming games.

They're the worst because they are often unaware of or uninterested in getting the facts straight about the gaming world. So a musician might say a music game is coming out based on his music, when in reality, he means a couple tracks are being put on the Rock Band Network.

In this case, Ochre might be revealing a new LittleBigPlanet game, or could be talking about some other, as-yet-unannounced LittleBigPlanet spin-off project or something else entirely. We can't really know for sure... yet. Although,

TheFeed's rumor computer gives this an 86 percent chance of being true.
