You have questions. We very possibly could have answers. This is the premise for this week's episode of Feedback. Instead of a proper "Game of the Week" segment, we're going to be answering your questions for the middle part of the show. Dedicated C-SPAN2 viewers might liken this to Question Time with the Prime Minister from Britain's Parliament, so please be sure to submit your questions with a snooty English accent.
And to get it out of the way...no, we don't know when Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming out. Everything else is fair game!

I m getting more and more frustrated with the way the media, G4 included are consistently used by the marketing forces of various studios. In the past a new game or movie would be announced or unveiled. Now 100 % of the time these news stories come to us through leaks, tweets and spoilers. These companies are not that inept at security. They are however just that devious.
They leak a fragment of information about a game, you report the rumor one day, then days later follow up by announcing that the rumor was true. We all pat ourselves on the back for getting cool new info earlier than we were supposed to, when in actuality this is just business as usual.
The company gets a bigger bang for their buck by creating a two event story instead of just one.
Yet obviously no-one is going to stop reporting these rumors, so I don t know what to do, but I d love to hear you call shenanigans on these carnival brokers who keep playing us all.
Also, has there been any news of what has happened to Star Wars Battlefront III ? I mean, the game was almost done when things were shut down. Have they really thrown away all that work and investment?
Thanks. Love Feedback. Please keep this up!

So I was thinking what will retirement homes be like in the future do you think that there will still be bingo and shuffle board type activities or are we all going to be playing video games?

Do you think marijuana should be legalized?

A lot of games seem to have great and epic stories (thinking mostly RPGs here) and lore surrounding their games, but it doesn't seem like developers have done a very good job in doing the job of a virtual "dungeon master". As an avid fantasy RPGer, I'd like to see more of this. Do you see anyone doing this? Are there games that maybe I've overlooked?

Does Capcom have any interest in bringing back Breath Of Fire?

Are developers focusing too much on bloody multiplayer? Bloody hell, I recently played Halo 3 ODST and was bloody disapointed with how short the single player campaign was (I beat it in about six bloody hours on normal). While I haven't played them, X-play's bloody review of Modern Warfare 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction stated both single player campaigns were bloody short as well. While I bloody enjoy multiplayer, I am really more interested in a bloody enjoyable single player experience with a good story that takes its time to develope through the bloody gameplay (Fallout 3, Batman Arkham Asylum, etc), that is what I am paying sixty pounds for (wait the exchange doesn't quite work on that one, bloody hell).
P.S.
In case you couldn't tell, I couldn't think of any other snooty English words other than bloody hell.

I heard that Valve will finally be teasing us with something regarding Half Life 2: Episode 3 at E3. I can only hope. Do you have any info regarding this? Or at least on Portal 2? Thanks.

Hey, Feedback Co.
As we see in each generation of gaming consoles, we have seen a radical change in some techinical aspect of the hardware and capablities. 1st generation (Magnavox Odyssey) brought gaming to the home, 2nd generation (VES) introduced the use of cartridges, which made playeres allow to keep just one consoloe and still play many games; 3rd generation (NES/Famicom) introduced more colors and detailed graphics, which allowed for more immersive environments and new gameplay elements based on color; 4th generation (Genesis/SNES) brought better peformance and buttons, which allowed for lengthier and better quality games along with more actions capable; 5th generation brought 3D environments, which gave developers that z axis for more possiblities in the environments; 6th generation (PS2/Xbox/GC) gave the 3D environments much more polish and better games were created; the current generation, 7th (PS3/Xbox360/Wii) has brought in new disc types to be read, as well as a technological leap in terms of performance and also motion control. As the 8th generation comes along our way, what should be the new improvement that will lure gamers (and our money) to purchasing the consoles late in the night at Best Buy (like Patrick and his iPad)?

OK well after reading all the buzz on the Ebert video games art, and this weeks soapbox I still have a question. I know we already probably have a lot of questions going on about this, but I'm going to ask anyway. I am not saying this to say that we need games given the title of "art" so it can be accepted. I just don't see how it is not art from my point of view on the matter. Novels/movies/comics/pictures/ music is considered art yes? So why not a game? I understand that games are unique and they don't fit a nice neat little definition of "art" to a T.
I mean there is an overall story that the developers had in mind for their game. We the player are acting it out. The only difference is that we are allowed to die and try again, and again until we finish the story. The story invokes emotions as we play and travel through the game environments. Ex: HALO. (Only reason I bring it up is because the Beta's around the corner...) I mean we are the Master Chief. We are fighting the Covenant/Flood to save ourselves from extinction, beat them, and win the war. (Humanity Saved *throw confetti*). The only things that changed in the story was us dying re-spawning and trying different parts again until we got past them. Then there is how we each chose to navigate through each set of encounters. No matter how we play the game the outcome will always be the same-we save Humanity. There is compelling music to drive us. The animation is well done, and script is well written. So why not have it considered art?
Though I can see where this doesn't hold true. Example being Mass Effect 2. Your choices that you make can cause certain characters not to make it to the end of the story. Thus, changing the story ending into one of many different endings.
I guess what I am trying to say is their still is a story being told in a medium that requires music, story, moving pictures, etc. all to make it a game. All those things being put together in a profound and good way evoke many emotions from the player as the game goes on. What "art" is supposed to do, invoke emotion. I mean we can look at the same scene in front of us and not see the same thing, it's all perception. Example being we all can see the picture of the Mona Lisa and we all know it is "art", but each individual may have different feelings as to what it means/ (different emotions about it).
So why not a game?

Do you think male and female sexual fanservice in games is so unnecessary that it should be kept out because it distracts from what should be important in a game?

Do you guys think that R*'s Red Dead Redemption will be a carbon copy of GTA 4 when it comes to the combat mechanics. GTA4's cover system was very quirky and I never really got the feel for it. I'm assuming that's not the case for RDR, but what's your opinion.

Lately I find myself looking more forward to indie games like Comic Jumper and Battle Block Theater than the big sellers. Do you think these indie developers will ever get as big as Bioware, Epic Games, Lionhead studios etc. and if so to you think this will change they're content?

I have a question for Adam. I had an Xbox 360, I got rid of it because Microsoft makes crappy products. I bought a PS3, which I love. The problem I have is: I've played all the major titles that came out for both systems on 360. So, now Im afraid my PS3 is going to collect dust due to lack of use. What should I do?

I have an Xbox 360 and a PS3, how will OnLive convince a gamer like me to buy their product? From most of what I read gamers don't seem to be all that interested.

I was gonna ask about KH3 but since I was explicitly told not to, I'll ask something else.
I'd like to know a release date for Team Ico's newest game, The Last Guardian. I loved the last two games and I'm excitedly awaiting this one. I don't want any other information though. Not knowing is half the fun.
