Hopefully, by now you’ve had a chance to check out all of the Splinter Cell: Conviction coverage housed on G4tv.com: my review, our First 15 segments, our discussion on Feedback, and on and on. But, as is customary with high profile games like this one that generate a ton of debate, we put it under the spotlight of the Talkabout.
Enjoy!

Before this video... I had never really thought of Adam as really bald... before this video.

I've played through every Splinter Cell and it is my favorite game series. I enjoyed the single player campaign, but the co-op is where the game really shines. Hunter is addicting and last stand is frusterating but good if you need to let off some steam. Killed 350 people in one round lol If anyone's hating on this because of te length, I really suggest you give this a try, there's so much more content than everyone is realizing. All the deniable ops modes will really burn time, especially if you play on realistic - which is the only way the game should be played.

Can't wait to pick up this game !!! For the people complaining about a short campaign, the co-op is supposed to be more expansive and plus, with the older splinter cell games i'd always try finding different paths through the level. The designers usually plan out at least 4 or 5 different ways to get past any area. Splinter Cell to me always had a TON of replayability

It is the movie, Taken, which stars Liam Neeson, in game form.

I think Ubisoft has moved on from a straight stealth game because there really isn't any market for it anymore. It seemed to me, that when Splinter Cell was first introduced, it was a Metal Gear killer, that was bringing stealth/espionage back to real life with the game environment, story, and graphics. It seems like Metal Gear really left the stealth angle, as a part of surviving back in Metal Gear Solid and somewhat in Snake Eater, to me stealth has been used more and more as a repetitive puzzle filler, instead of a way you HAVE to play a game. Looks like COD/Gears finally infected another franchise.

I'll still buy it, but probably not until a Steam sale.

It seems like Ubisoft is asking a lot from the veterans ( including yours truly ) of the series with respect to the continuing story combined with the "re-boot" of the gameplay. A nicely sized content patch - DLC to the console crowd - to Double Agent that wrapped up the story as we knew it, then going on to a brand new Fisher story probably wouldve tempered much of this trepidation imo.

Im a big fan of all the Splinter Cell games & have played em all. I just think this is another great chapter of the series. I will def be playin this one for awhile.

I'm going to complain until this comes out on PS3. Splinter Cell may be my favorite gaming franchise of all time, but I'm not buying a new system just to play that one game. Yet, I want to play it so. Freakin'. Bad!

Unfortunately for me the multi-player not only seems like a big reason to get this game, but THE BIGGEST reason to get the game. I don't really do much multiplayer directly these days so I'd rather save my money/time for single player games like FFXIII and the upcoming Red Dead Redemption/Alan Wake juggernauts coming soon.

Having never played the original splinter cell... I dont think I'll have that problem that you keep refrencing... I'd love to play the old splinter cells... but maybe not having done that will allow me to enjoy this game just a little bit more

First off, as someone who wasn't a fan of the splinter cell series, I found that I really enjoyed this one.
Secondly, Adam and crew, please ignore the people that bitch about scores. There just to dumb to understand that YOU are reviewers, not them. It is getting annoying watching you vindicate their attempts to be referenced on TV. I'd rather hear about the posts that praise your reviews.

I would actually like to play a game called "Bob's Adventure in the Dead of Night".

I don't enjoy playing games with other people, so if I only play single player is it still a good experience without the co-op? Are the deniable ops missions available as single player only, or are those co-op as well? Also does this mean the return of X-play's Bob and Steve!!!

I was upset with the single player, but love the co-op to death.

I have been absolutely loving this game. Best Splinter Cell yet in my opinion. I love the more fluid/ dynamic mix of action and stealth. The single player campaign was great, and the co-op is FREAKING AWESOME.
Trekster_Gamer
I have tried to like all the previous Splinter Cells and didn't care for the slow moving stealth that made the title such a hit. After seeing this review I am now very interested in it if anything for the much faster paced, more action oriented gameplay that SCC appears to offer.

the only thing that really sounds good to me is the co op which would be something i would want to play but im not going to go out and buy it just for that ill rent or borrow most likely

I really wanted this game to be amazing and for the most part it looks pretty good. But developers need to understand that people just do not have as much financial freedom as they did in the past to invest 60 dollars in games that will only last a couple of hours. Yes there are co-op modes but they are not the same as having a robust competitive multiplayer experience like the old school spies v mercs. Plus more gamers are learning about gamefly now (myself included) and I just cannot afford to invest money into a game that is not going to last as long as something like Red Dead Redemption. I'm scared that this game is just going to be a rental for many people.
