The Blizzard Pet Store -- Azeroth's version of the SkyMall catalog -- has updated today with something that you don't really need, but it would sure be nice to have attached to your World of Warcraft account: the Celestial Steed flying mount. For a mere $25, the Celestial Steed can be your luxurious transport through the fantastically dangerous and dangerously fantastic areas of Outland and Northrend, and when the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion launches later this [BLIZZARD TIME], you'll be able to view the carnage rendered upon Old Azeroth from up on high (as you might already know, flying mounts in Kalimdor & Eastern Kingdoms is going to be possible).
The Celestial Steed is also capable of 310% movement speed, should you be one of the lucky few players who already have an "Ultra-Rare Flying Mount" in your stable. Otherwise, his speed is scaled in accordance with your riding skill.
I've been WoW-free for almost a year now, but will likely be reactivating my account when Deathwing awakens so I can check out all the changes to my old, sub-50 level stomping grounds. Anyone else starting to feel that renewal itch?
