At Konami's recent Gamers Day, the company showed off a trailer for upcoming PS3 and 360 Castlevania game Castlevania: Lords of Shadows.
"I'm a gamer! I'd like to see that!" you may be saying to yourself. Sadly, Konamis seems to be saving up their trailer for a bigger reveal. Maybe at E3 in June? Until then, you'll have to make do with the first-hand impressions of G4's own Jake Gaskill and Andrew Pfister, who were on the scene.
Here's how Jake described the trailer:
"All I could think of while I was watching the trailer was “And this is a Castlevania game, why?” The game clearly takes significant cues from God of War, Shadow of the Colossus and even Dante’s Inferno..."
Where Andrew put it thusly:
"I’m not going to argue that Castlevania doesn’t need a reboot, quite the contrary. I’ve always wanted to see it work well in 3D, and despite the “sampler platter” approach, they seem to be taking the right items from the right menus."
I don't know about you, but I want to know/see more.
