Are you grossly under-informed about Krome Studios’ sci-fi platformer Blade Kitten? I’m going to take a guess and say that you are. Not to worry, though. X-Play recently spoke with the downloadable title’s creative director Steve Stamatiadis to find out more about this intriguing and stunning game, including where Blade Kitten draws its influence.

“The game is a 2D action-platformer that harkens back to the classic action-platform games of the Sega Genesis era and arcade days. I liken it more to the earlier Castlevanias, which were more about a level-based experience where you progress through levels and explore them.”

Blade Kitten is scheduled for release on the PlayStation Network around early May.
