Well, here you go folks. The debut trailer for Epic Games’ next chapter in its gritty shooter franchise, Gears of War 3. There are quite a few eye catching elements in the “Ashes to Ashes” trailer, so you have my permission to watch it several times (in a row even!).
Gears of War 3 is scheduled to hit Xbox 360 on April 5, 2011.

Gotta hand it to epic they sure know how to release trailers for their games. Actually glad that it will take longer for it to come out this time so no more screw ups at launch hopefully.......now if they just release a multiplayer beta to iron out the games kinks gears 3 will get the respect it deserves.......unlike gears 2.

this game looks great hopefully they will have better ways for online play because gears 2 you waited to long for one game. I also hope they have a carmine in the third one too.

Cliff B. last night said it was going to be released April 8th; so which is it, the 8th or the 5th? I'm hoping it'll be the 5th (the sooner the better), but if it's the 8th, that's just one day before my birthday (strangely making it more signeficant to me). I love Gears, this would make an excelent birthday gift.

Not as good as the Gears 1 trailer, buttttt this still looks amazing. I hope the story ends with a bang!

I'm still wondering how & why all those people became calcified(?) statues of ash.
The only thing I know that can do that is a volcano eruption..and thats usually what makes ash rain like that.
But this is Sera, we're talking about.
And those people looked like they got FLASH-calcified, since there's no cooled lava around to bury them. Hmmm..
..I have a feeling that a Light-Mass bomb was set off in that area..but since the Light-Mass Bomb is based off of Imulsion, it may have aided the growth of those Tentacle-Lambent things, along with the rest of the Lambent race - Locust consciousness/spirits that found new life, being fused with Imulsion.

I get the feeling that Dom is going to be a focus in the third game and I don't like that. I'm sure it's just going to be a tool used to help drive the story, but I'm not down for a lot of the emo drama that I'm sure is going to happen. I'd like a bit more on the Daddy Fenix storyline, as well as the Locust origins.

Poor Dom. Looks like losin the ol' ball and chain really did a number on the guy.
Interested to see what's up with the second baddie fighting with the Locusts. Maybe more craziness in the newly formed 3-way battle?
