Gears of War 3, the game everyone already expected designer Cliff Bleszinski would announce on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, is now official. The first trailer, titled "Ashes to Ashes," premiered on the show, as well. Gears of War 3 arrives April 2011. You can find the full interview over at Jimmy Fallon's site.

Wow I love Jimmy Fallon and Cliffy B. That interview made me hard. This game is going to destroy my soul.

Sorry, I just can't watch Jimmy Fallon. I agree it's cool that a game trailer is premiered on a late night talk show, it's great for gamers and the gaming industry. But I just can't stand Jimmy Fallon, but hopefully it encourages other studios to premiere their trailers on other non-typical shows.

I can't wait for this game to come out. Now I have to constantly think about this game for a whole year. Well at least they'll be a few good games between now and next April to kill some time. July doesn't seem so far away anymore for Crackdown 2!!

My girlfriend likes gears of war, but was always annoyed that all it had were roided out men as playable characters. maybe now shell stop complaining

Kinda weak don't cha think? now the first game had dedicated servers right? and the second one was the one that sucked, i wonder if they learned there lesson? but sense it will be under "live" i am guessing not!

Since they could not come up with anything new, besides a double barrel shot gun, they had to make a 2nd bad guy. Oh wait there are female soldiers... meh. Never really cared for the series, watched friends play it, never saw how awesome they said it was. Sure it will sell well, just nothing really new.

yep it's the girl from comic books. I'm sure Dom will takes his life to end the war. Marcus will probably find his father but something not right with his dad.
After the end of war, Marcus will marry Anya Stroud (from Gears of War 2) and they'll have a son named after Dom.

the beard guy is Carlos Santiago, Dom's Brother, and the girl might be anya, but is more likely her mother. This battle is detailed in the book "Aspho Fields", which takes place long before gears of war 1

I'm surprised no one has commented on the fact that the tentacled Lambent attacks a Locust, and not the Cogs.

The game is to take place 18 months after Gears 2,so the whole COG crew has changed in style facial hair,body armor and their is even a new female member,and a new tentacle monster in the Locust Horde.Brothers to THE END? Is this the last Gears?Next April is a long way,but let's move on,now that we know when the game comes out.

Game looks great as usual. The trailer doesn't give too much away really, but it's still a whole year away. I may pick up gears and play again before it comes out. And if anyone complains about cruelty against women in video games I will saw them in half! haha, seriously, if you want to be treated equal in society then prepare to be sawed in half, tea-bagged, sworn at, shot at and generally killed and maimed like the rest of the grown up world.

game looks awesome. that female character looks hot and bad ass, don't mind playing as her. 2011 is far but i can wait because before we realize it will be here. they can take their time to perfect it, like god of war 3, make it EPIC (excuse the pun)
