Metal Gear designer Hideo Kojima is restless, it seems. With the finish line for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in sight (the game's out in early June), Kojima is already beginning to sketch out his next project and started giving out the first details through an unlikely source: Twitter.
"I’m pondering over the next project’s voice cast," said Kojima through the social service. "I still do not have the details embedded, but everything is running simultaneously in my head. The title, game design, story, characters, setting, mechs, casting, direction of the graphics, sound, beginning & ending, and key story sequences. It all molds together naturally in my head."
In the past, Kojima has promised he'd work on a new Zone of the Enders game. Expect the mention of "mechs" being involved in his next project to spark another round of fan speculation.
"I still have loads of work for PW [Peace Walker], but my mind is in 'The Next Title Mode,'" he said. "This is bad. I have to get my mind set on PW. I think about it without noticing, obsessing over it, unconsciously smiling and getting excited. Once again, thinking about 'The Next Title.'"
It's unlikely the next game from Kojima's mind will be unveiled at E3, given that Metal Gear Solid: Rising has yet to receive a proper reveal. Where do you think Kojima's headed next?
