At its recent gamer day event, Konami revealed that a new Silent Hill game is coming. The company showed off a teaser trailer in that familiar, moody Silent Hill style that showed a dude stumbling along a foggy street before being attacked by something monstrous, and a title card promising "The Silence Ends At E3." So it looks like we'll have to wait until June to learn more.
At a recent German press event, a Konami rep promised that the game will be playable on "next gen" consoles. I take it that means the PlayStation 3 and the 360 (not the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720).
I really liked Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Sure, it's not as game-changing as the original Silent Hill and Silent Hill 2, but it was an intriguing and spooky game, that did more than re-hash tired ideas from the series. Hopefully, the Silent Hill series is getting the treatment it deserves in this upcoming game.

the last silent hill game 4 wii and psp was not that great i would even call it a silent hill game and i took a game reviews prospective. the game did not even give me a cold run down my spine. it did not even look like silent hill. all the buildings where not silent hill looking like! too short of a game. bad ending as nothing epic.

YES!!!! hopefully it's as good as SH2. I want the ability to roam the town and adventure, not just follow a set path like in homecoming.

Silent Hill has always been on of those games that'll promise a good scare. Now that it will be on the Xbox and PS3, I can only imagine how scary this one will be.

I hope this new Silent Hill is scarier than the last few titles. If it can live up to how impressed I was with SH2 then I'll be looking forward to it. Otherwise if it's like Homecoming and Shattered Memories I just won't bother with it.
