You don't have to deal with my awkward pauses anymore, as Adam Sessler has returned to Feedback, albeit with some disappointing news: he didn't find the intrepid Yeti during his fever dream. Abbie Heppe, Adam, Jake Gaskill and myself tried to soothe our crushed hopes and dreams with discussion about Apple's new iPad and the launch games available for the device and much, much more.
In this week's episode of Feedback...
- Apple launched their much talked about tablet-sized version of the iPhone, the iPad. Is it worth the money? Does Geometry Wars work? For help, I brought my iPad into the studio.
- Rockstar Games is positioning Red Dead Redemption as their new Grand Theft Auto. The whole Feedback crew is behind the game, but not convinced about westerns being huge hits.
- Hot on the heels of Gears of War 3 rumors, the Gears of War movie is reportedly being scaled back from the mammoth, multi-movie sci-fi epic pitched at Comic-Con last year.
- The ups and downs of open world games gets debated as we discuss our game of the week, Just Cause 2. I managed to sneak in some props about the game's amazing Lost reference.
- A user asks everyone to discuss what makes indie games tick.

I just wanted to say I love Feedback and it's become an exciting part of my Wednesday night. I really enjoy Adam's and Patrick's humor . I hope this show is long term and keeps it's flow and length. I also think Abbie and Sterling's personality benefit the show even though Sterling's absent from this episode.

Great Feedback. 500 bucks for an Ipad. Would prefer to by my second Ati 4870 can use crossfire on my PC and get the other 4 gb of ram. That is just me and my gaming ridge.

Dino D-Day came out in November. It was a Half-Life 2 Mod.

I want a Mass Effect movie. You HAVE to turn the game that's possibly the best story-telling experience in a video game EVER, while still having tons of action, into the medium with the best combination of both. (Honestly, most people care more about the action than the story in games) The only problem is they'd have to pick a story to be canon, but that can't be THAT big of a problem. They chose canon for KotoR.
I can see Bioware partnering with a director or movie publisher or whatever and them making movies out of all of Bioware's big releases.
Bethesda does open world games really well, in my opinion. Oblivion was... wow, so much stuff... so much stuff.. can't possibly do everything in my lifetime. Fallout 3, the random places had more character and uniqueness. They're very different and very alike at the same time.
Just Cause 2 sounds fun, but not my kind of game. For me, story is pretty much necessary. RPGs are definitely my favorite, but games like ME and Fallout 3 that combine them with other genres like shooters is definitely a plus.

Good episode again, guys. I think I'll have to pick up Just Cause 2 now that everyone seems so excited after playing it. I'm usually not a huge fan of open-world games but this one looks like it may be an exception, especially with that awesome grappling hook.

The Western is easily the most underrated genre within movies and video games. For some reason it just doesn't usher in the same amount of respect and following as the others. However, I will DEFINITELY be being Red Dead and I hope it takes off.
