Bungie revealed an impressive amount of details regarding their under-the-radar shooter Halo: Reach during their latest weekly update. In addition to detailed breakdowns of some of the various pros and cons of the weaponry, armor abilities, and vehicles players can expect to have at their disposal in the game's multiplayer.
Two of the standout bits of info concern the newly revealed Armor Ability, Armor Lock, and the game’s weapon load out system. The Armor Ability sounds rather rad as it not only makes you momentarily invincible, but it also allows you to “shed plasma grenades, shred vehicles unfortunate enough to attempt a splatter, and deflect projectiles.” The downside is that you can’t move while using it. Can you say sitting duck?
As for the load out system, players will be able to choose between a predetermined mix of weapons, Armor Abilities and grenades specifically designed for the playlist and/or game type. So while you can’t mix and match the individual load out components, there will be plenty of options to meet your killing needs. Plus, you can always pick up new weapons during matches, so you’ll still be able to create the perfect weapon combo for your play style.
There are plenty of more details where that came from including clarification on Reach’s stealth kill mechanic, a Designated Marksman Rifle vs. Magnum discussion, an analysis of shield attributes, jet-pack love, and lots more. If you’re looking forward to Halo: Reach in the least, you’ll definitely want to pick up what Bungie’s throwing down.

Echoing what Gathoom and frankie24 are saying, how can you possibly be compaining about a loadout? At least you have the option to pick a loadout that's more suitable to your style, even if it's not exactly what you want. Once the game starts, pick up a secondary weapon off your opponent or pick it up off the map. At least it won't be like Halo 3 where people are constantly screaming "Veto for BRs!" I'm personally looking forward to the DMR and then swapping out the secondary weapon (magnum) for something a little more powerful.

GO PLAY MW2 LOLLOL
Really I can't wait to see how this ends up

Aww i was really hoping for the load out thing!

Gathoom, I agree, the first four posts were pure retardation. The game follows the army of spartans that lived before Reach fell... so the loadout system is completely logical. Each spartan had a different specialization... If one is a sniper, give him a loadout... if one is a rocket-jockey, give him a loadout... quit bitching!

Well the only problem i have is with the loadouts... but Shadowrun had something similar i think and the Multiplayer on that game was great.

Of the first four comments I am going to ridicule...... all of them
First - Really, seriously, people know there are other games out there.
Second - This isn't some kind of Second Life its Halo.
Third - Pick up a battle rifle and what can you do? Aim through the sight.
Fourth - Your first sentence is redundant. and who needs a ghillie suit when you have active camo.

I hope they realize that we either want no loadouts, or customizable loadouts. i also want some armor permutations that has some sort of grass, or bushes. or a cape... a cape would be amazing.

I would like to be able to aim through a site as aposed to hip fire. I think L4D and Halo are old news because of that reason!
AngelsandDemons
I guess they couldn't give you complete freedom to design your own load outs...I guess that would have been too perfect?
