The term “rocket tag” should immediately bring a big goofy grin to your face. If it doesn’t, the joy within you is dead. Anyway, rocket tag is one of the many, many reasons to be excited about Ruffian Games’ explosive sequel Crackdown 2. X-Play’s Morgan Webb caught up with the game’s creative director Billy Thomson during PAX East 2010 to find out more about Crackdown 2’s delicious rocket-fueled mode.

“There’s a yellow orb that’s created within the game world. One person can pick it up at a time. The longer you control the yellow orb, the more points you get…If anybody can hit you with a rocket, you’ll drop the orb, somebody else picks it up, and it just rotates like that…It’s just constant explosions. It’s really good fun.”
