You might notice there's someone different sitting in the hosting chair this week on Feedback. Adam Sessler's wandering the world in a fever dream (he mentioned something about a Yeti), so I was asked to step in and take control of Feedback. I apologize in advance, but I managed to convince Andrew Pfister, Matt Keil and Abbie Heppe to join me in the Feedback studio, too. They made my job easier.
On this week's episode of Feedback...
- All four of us attended PAX East in Boston over the weekend and even though it was an exhausting, cross-country experience, we had a fantastic time meeting with G4's great fans.
- In addition to exploring bars near PAX East, we had a chance to look at and play a bunch of games at the event, too. Matt and Abbie go in-depth on the promising online shooter Breach.
- Sony announced it decided to pass on the Project Natal technology for PlayStation Move and Bungie revealed their ambitious Player Investment system for the upcoming Halo: Reach.
- Abbie's family shows up. Seriously.
- A reader asks us to ponder what tends to drive Adam absolutely insane: 3D gaming.
Feedback, a podcast that gets way too excited about the prospect of going to the Cheers bar.

Player investment system is a win. I don't want a game that gives perks to the people that are already good.
Plus with the different abilities you get just off the bat (like Jetpacks) are a game style enhancement. So if you are the guy that goes balls out and takes rockets head on you can get the little bubble thing. If your a sniper you can get the jet pack and fly on top of tall buildings to get a couple shots off, then fly away.
I like abilities like these that are free and instant so everybody can increase their play style.
If I wanted a time based game that gives me perks for playing many hours at a time I would buy an RPG... one of the most popular of those in World of Warcraft.
I think Halo dominates because of its skill based play coupled with a great game engine and a great story line. It appeals to your casual players and your hardcore players.

the start of this video talking about natal proves my point. You can go to youtube and see video of people playing sword games with the PS EYE games. Guess what I am calling your BULLcrap. I ll post the link and watch for yourself. just watch it.

see him use a plastic light saber with the PS eye. face it like i have been saying natal track you body better but you will still be doing the same thing. that is what Doc marks said.
FACT and BTW i hate the idea of a controllerles game. I hated it when Sony did it and i t hate it now. but Sony added the move so its a step up even over the wii. don't take my comment down or off let the knowledge out. media bias is kill me. I want people to start calling BULLcrap on these popular sites. I don't care if its against Sony or Microsoft. BS IS BS AND START CALLING IT PEOPLE.
my youtube channel is trounbyfire some might not like it ans some might see it as a laughtable side note but watch and lean.

As far as motion control is concerned I am not really too hyped about any of it. I have a Wii and it's cute as well as giving me the ability to play Nintendo flagship titles. Really though, I don't want to throw out my back or my shoulder because I am playing a mocap game. Also, how good can any mocap game be at this point when even the full mocap dot tracking tech can't manage large scale body motion as well as fine hand or finger motion well and that's true high tech. Additionally as far as NATAL is concerned I think it's neat and everything but I have always had a problem with game sthat give you "realistic" control with a lack of force feedback. I don't mean to be a nay-sayer, I hope both move and NATAL are awesome. That being said, I do have some concerns regarding the breadth and quality of implementation. Great show. CHeers guys.
