SEGA Reveals First Official Details For The Conduit 2

Forget cryptic teases and random posters at game events. SEGA Europe has officially pulled back the curtain on High Voltage Software’s sci-fi shooter sequel, The Conduit 2, and revealed a slew of details in the process.

First off, the alien invasion kicked off in the first game has now spread throughout the world, and, shockingly, it’s up to you to take care of it. Single-player and multiplayer return, and players can expect "multi-tiered levels featuring dynamic environments, cinematic battles, giant adversaries, and deep customization features.”

The game also introduces a new co-op mode called Team Invasion that can be played online and off. The offline mode features four-player split-screen as well. The Conduit’s 12-player competitive multiplayer returns with some big improvements including “larger and more intricate indoor and outdoor battlefields.”

Sega plans to release The Conduit 2 in fall 2010, and fans can most likely expect to see plenty more about the game as we get closer to E3. Hit the jump to see two more screens from the game.

I loved the game play in the conduit. I find the thrill of lining up that cross level head shot far more satisfying using the wii mote then I ever did using a joystick. I can't wait to see the conduit 2 finished and running the screen shots look light years ahead of it predecessor. hears hoping for another game that brings more satisfaction than a thanks giving dinner. :D

This franchise should've been named as "A.S.E." ["ace"] after the gadget that you use in the game - All Seeing Eye - instead of "The Conduit". [Which sounded so random, or otherwise dirty]
Then this sequel would've been called "A.S.E. 2" instead.

Hopefully, this & the original, get a shot on the PS3 with PSMove, and on the 360 with "Natal", as a TRUE multi-platform game. I wanted to try out the game when it came out, but I don't own a Wii; so here's hoping for a multi-platform release.

The conduit was one of the greatest wii shooters I own. I own them all. The disc didn't leave my console until I beat it.(I admit that wasn't long.) But.Everyone complains about the wii-mote controls "they are not as great as dual analog.!", Give me a break. If you toggle the conduits control scheme for a good 15 min. to acomidate your own taste,(oh and put your player hater vibes aside.), This game was a sweet piece of work. Get with the times people. Motion control is the futer of gaming ! In another 10 years you will be sitting back and remembering how crappy dual analog used to be. Thank you sega!! (house of the dead overkill, madworld and the Conduit. All out within months of each other. That's what Im talking about.!!

I was severely let down by the first one, will definitely wait for reviews before I decide on purchase.

I'm pleased and surprised that they're making a sequel. I'm glad that not everyone has given up on making so called "hardcore" games for the Wii.

Well these screens aren't the final build so obviously it's going to get better. The first was a little disappointing but I'm going to give HVS another chance since the first time they were primarily focused on the engine.

I was about to recommend this game for PS motion but those graphics are an insult for even a PS2.

The first one was great fun. It wasn't original in any way, but it was polished and action packed and that is all you need sometimes. The only thing that really let me down was the graphics. The game was hyped as the best looking Wii game and some of the textures, like the sky boxes or far away scenery, were very, very, very low res. Red Steel 2 looks a million times better and that game really wasn't hyped for the graphics.

Let's hope they can tweak the graphics on this one.
