The Modern Warfare 2: Stimulus Pack is upon us, available exclusive to Xbox 360 owners for the next 30 days, but that shouldn't stop PC and PS3 owners from watching from the sidelines at home. Friend of G4, Matt Pascual, took the maps to task with this comparison video looking at how the "Crash" map is depicted in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 versus how it exists in the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. You'll notice that it's still a very faithful rendition of the classic map. Of course, throw familiarity out the window once someone calls in the AC-130. See for yourself here:
UPDATE: The brightness was higher on the original video, so we've since recaptured the video below. Our intention was to walk through the attention to detail of the new maps, so we apologize if the original video misrepresented that. This should set the record straight:

Looks like they were going for a cleaner aesthetic. But at the same time they kind of sucked the color out of it. Make of that what you will.

Look like somebody in purpose messed up the contrast and brightness for the modern warfare 2 screen cuz it does look better than 4.Not to mention the now destructible elements n animations (like trees moving with the wind)

I'm pretty sure MWF2 doesn't really look that much worse. I think those were on differant tv's or something.

Why couldn't IW put a bit of effort into actually making the Map LOOK BETTER not worse?
I can't buy it (PS3). Do any of you 360 owners who purchased it know if it fixes glitches and bugs, or does it just add 3 new maps and 2 repeats???
I think all the Maps from MW should be in MW2 automatically no extra cost.

I just checked this video's MW2 set-up to my MW2 set-up and my set-up is leaps and bounds better looking. Somebody has a terrible set-up that recorded this.

Someone had their gamma turned way too high, because the original crash looked a hundred times better.
I really couldn't care less though, I am not a complete and hopeless moron who would actually pay $15 for three new maps and two old ones.

Call of Duty 4 version still looked waaaaaay better than Modern Warfare 2's version, but then again, CoD 4 is still a way better game then MW2 will ever be, because c'mon... who wants play a game with faulty and broken game play... not me. CoD 4 will never be beat.
