At PAX East 2010 this weekend, Harmonix slipped up a bit and revealed that Rock Band 3 will, in fact, have vocal harmonies like The Beatles: Rock Band. Not exactly surprising news, but welcome.
A the company's PAX panel, Harmonix Project Lead Chris Foster asked, "We've said Rock Band 3 would have harmonies already, right?" His fellow panelists responded "No!" Cat's out of the bag now, though, eh?
Green Day: Rock Band will also offer vocal harmonies.
I expect many more game enhancements in Rock Band 3. My wish-list: A drop-in/drop-out party mode like Guitar Hero, a super-easy mode (you know, for kids!), and here's a couple crazy one: Key-tar peripheral and support for actual MIDI guitars. What about you? Do you have any suggestions/wants for the next game?

adding a piano perif would be nice. there are many great songs with insane piano/organ solos. i dont care if i have to buy another piece of plastic. actually, they could just make it midi compatible, that way you could use the controller as an actual piano on your computer or what not. maybe this is what harrison meant by rockband3 teaching people how to play real music? hmm?

Good ideas above. Here are mine.
1) More than one instrument can practice.
2) Music other than "joe" rock music. How about Jazz-Fusion or Blues.
3) More actually guitar heroes. Hendrix is a good step in the right direction. How about some Steve Morse, George Lynch, Steve Vai, or Jimi Page.

The drop in drop out will be a nice idea. I also think RB3 should have the option of lead guitar and/or rhythm guitar when possible. I keyboard will also be nice for some songs (Queen, The Doors), but I doubt they will do it.
Hopefully Harmonix will deliver a great game and revitalize the music game market after GH over saturated it. I also wish Rock Band: Green Day will not come out; it is a stupid idea. Give us instead a Led Zeppelin game or DLC.

No Keytar very dumb Idea seeing as how the Guitar controller is a the same thing and then you have to develop 80+ songs that all use the darn thing.

as long as they don't overkill it like the Guitar Hero franchise has done, then they should be good. I think double bass pedal is unnessesary and the Rock Band drum set is fine as it is.

I would like to ability to change my sound options from stereo to mono. For those that have television sets that only have the yellow and white AV ports, it is a pain to only hear certain portion of songs rather than the whole thing.

i would love that they show the lyrics of the songs while i play solo guitar cause i am not that talented to play guitar on expert and sing plus sometime i dont know the words and it would help to learn them.

Here's what I would like:
1) All my dlc and RB 2 songs to work in RB3, songs transferred have vocal harmonies added to them
2) New graphics engine, increased character customization, expanded world tour
3) Drop in and out play and a mode where any combination of instruments can be used
4) a nice feature if it is possible would be to allow people playing RB3 online with others, to be able to play people's dlc, even one person does not have it. Basically as long as one person owns a song, the whole group can play it.

You can hear them when they are using starpower, at least you can in RB:Beatles. Trust me, you dont want to hear it 90% of the time.

All I really want is the ability to make my own playlists. My Rock Band 2 list is crazy long and sometimes I'd like to just pull up a playlist of my favorite songs...or a playlist with female vocals to easily find songs when guests come over...stuff like that.
