    HEY BLAIR!!!!!!!

Love your show!!!! And I love your taste as well. Your picks are always on point.

Your response was fair to me.

I also want to thank you for introducing me to Locke & Key. One of the best things I have ever read. But I hear that the sales might not be good enough for it to continue.

    Anyway, keep it up.

Just wanted to say that I really enjoy the podcast and I wish that there was more of it, I don't know how many comic nerds are at G4 but it would be interesting to see a "feedback" style show featuring comics and dealing with the whole of comics in general. I must also give my humble thanks for the old man logan recommend, its a phenomenal book that I've re-read several times already.

Hey Blair! I love your show, and i have nearly watched all the episodes of both fresh ink and fresh ink online. I am a 15 year old boy living in Norway, and a couple of days ago i spent 3000 norwegian kroner (500 dollars) on comics (trade paper backs and graphic novels) you recommended. One exception was "Ultimatum", which you have not reviewed. And i was wondering, despite its age, if you could review this fantastic comic for every poor soul watching your podcast that has not red this miniseries. You are doing a great job with fresh ink, and i will continue to buy comics recommended by you.

Hey, Blair, answer this one for me:

Whatever happened to splash pages? God, how I miss the splash page. Turning the cover to find great big eye-popping one page story intros. Nowadays, almost every Marvel comic book you open begins with a page of text with - if we're "lucky" - panels from previous books.

And regarding your comment on the expense of comics in general...too right. Nothing is more aggravating to me than laying down 3 or 4 bucks for a floppy, only to find that the first page is a text recap, and the LAST SIX PAGES are a preview for a completely different book I'll likely never pick up ("Philip K. Dick's Electric Ant," anyone? Sheesh.)

Love the 'cast, as always. Don't stop.

Wanted to commend you for the great job you do every week on this podcast. Also thanks for the reading recommendations you have given, because of you "Locke and Key" and "The Sword" are very high on my reading pile. Keep up the great work.

What's wrong with being positive all the time? So many comics come out every week, it's good to know what stands out amongst the crowd. Too many people think that being critical = having better taste. Why can't we just enjoy things anymore?

Keep up the good work Blair!

Great podcast Blair. I like your philosophy on reviewing comics. I know that if someone reviewed a comic I made that they look into the artistic viewing and effort I put in to them and respect them. I remember the spider-man issue with Obama in it that everyone was trying to get and in your review you talk about how it was just a money issue . The only going to be bought because the presidents on it and that might mean it will be worth some green in the future. Spider-man will always live on, but when its a comic that big making a few mistakes its good to hear the truth from you. Thanks Blair.

P.S. Trying to get Breaking through Marvel and my shop wont give me it. Is there anywhere else I should go to get one or wait until they make a special trade of it?

This isn't constructive, grow some balls, it's pretty clear now that this isn't a review show anymore or maybe it never was, if people don't know they've failed then how can they possibly grow as a person. Letting someone put out a comic that sucks and telling them otherwise is damaging to their career and will hurt even more when they come looking for a job and get nothing and can't figure out why.

@ GreyCrowX - Yeah, that sort of came out of nowhere when Sinestro became the White Lantern last issue. And I picked up the retailer variant of the new one. Sort of wierd seeing him pushing the Green and Yellow Lanters together like that. But for some resaon I thought of what Moebius told Raziel after he exited from the Time Device at the end of Soul Reaver, Redeemer and Destroyer.

Daytripper is something different from what I usually get, I like it. Thanks for that past recommend, Blair, good looking out.
Sinestro, the new White Lantern? If Hal Jordan can go all Uber psychotic, then why not, after all hasn't Sinestro just been misunderstood all this time anyway, sure he murdered and maimed and lead super-villians en mass on a campaign towards the destructuion of earth and it's denziens, but was it not all just really a "hey guys look at me" type of thing, don't ya think his "feelings" were just a little hurt, what else can you do when you're better than everyone else and are the only one that can clearly see how things need to be to keep the universe safe, nothing, besides whatever it takes. so this just means either Sinestro was right all along, and might just be adapting to a new method, and there are going to be alot of awarkward moments of from unaccepting DC heros, or Hal's gonna go all Sinestro on Sinestro...(yeah, that makes snes) and all Hal's gonna break loose. Either way, sounds like Damnation.

I have to say that i loved the Guild. Great art.
Thanks also Blair for talking about Daytripper and Phonogram: singles club. I heard about them for you and i picked up everything i could on both. Missing one issue of singles club but i love them. Daytripper has replaced a book that i normally read just so i can buy it.

What do you think about Xmen second coming? It seems like too many tie ins and marvel is bleeding my back account. and Blackest night is done next week! Yay! in a sad way

I was disappointed Supergod was only three issues. Not that there was much that could be done with that premise, but still... Mushroom Christ and Pseudo-Krishna... dot dot dot.

Hey Blair, ever read Heavy Metal magazine? I know there's a lot of boobs, but there's the mondo violence too that you seem to enjoy.

Don't ever change Blair, don't ever change.

You can get angry people on Vids tearing apart everything. Especially that one place... a guy... and his glasses... Mmm.

    Still Watching~

With the economy in the crapper, I went to the comic shop on Wednesday to pick up only one book and that was The Guild. When I learned that Felicia Day writes and produces the web show and she was writing the comic, I was all in. It definitely deserves pick of the week (even though I haven't read any of the others that Blair reviewed). It's funny, witting and Day does an excellent job of expanding and building on Codex.

That viking rape analogy was indeed pretty bad.
Locke & Key however is amazing. Thanks for the heads up.
I will definitely be checking out The Guild (love the show) and Tank Girl this week.

I understand when it is a smaller comic, saying it it is bad feels bad. I totally understand, and I am happy that you will let me know when a high profile comic is bad. Thank you for explaining.

Do you have a regular buy list?

Oh I don't think you have mentioned Fantastic Four, it is a good series. Jonathan Hickman is writing it, and I remember you talking about Pax Romana on AOTS, I instantly knew I had to have it. So that day I drove down to my LCS and bought it. Thank you for that.
