Hey, everyone reading this: The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is in development. Atari said so this morning, pointing out that this PC-only sequel to The Witcher is "characterized by an incredibly gripping, mature and non-linear plot. In addition, the new combat system is even smoother and guarantees a greater variety of tactical possibilities. The game boasts completely new technology, designed from scratch by CD Projekt RED to develop role-playing games with non-linear plot."
Sound good? Sound old? It should. There was a Witcher 2 video way back in September. Maybe you forgot, but TheFeed remembers, baby. That vid was categorized as a side-effect of the developer trying to find a publisher -- not quite a leak, but not quite an "official" reveal. Looks like the tactic worked!
The game will be presented tomorrow during the CD Projekt Spring 2010 conference; I'm sure we'll learn a lot of specifics about the title, like will their be nudity in the American release (there wasn't in the first game), and will the dreary tone continue for the second go-round?
