Tying together the stories of Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2, and adding new weapons and enemies aren’t the only goodies Valve is packing into their upcoming L4D2 downloadable content pack "The Passing." The developer revealed on its official Left 4 Dead blog that "The Passing” will include “new game modes” as well.
Surprised? Well, considering this is the first we’re hearing about it, I’d say there are probably more than a few L4D heads wearing goofy grins right about now just thinking about the prospect of adding on to the already stellar Scavenge, Survival and Versus glory already included in the game. No word yet on what the new modes are, but seeing as "The Passing" should be arriving in the coming weeks, answers can't be that far off.
This news comes a few days after Valve revealed that “The Passing” will involve a major plot twist involving the original L4D foursome, who players will meet up in the new DLC. Also, Valve is selling Left 4 Dead 2 for half-price until tomorrow on Steam (and Amazon is currently selling the Xbox 360 version for $39.99), so if you were holding out for a price drop, congratulations.
