Mass Effect 2 Premium DLC Details New Recruit Kasumi

Bioware shared more details on its upcoming premium DLC pack for Mass Effect 2, titled Kasumi - Stolen Memory. In the pack, players will have access to a brand new character, Kasumi Goto, a master thief with her own set of loyalty missions. There will also be one new research upgrade and weapon available, as well as one shiny new achievement!  Here's the info straight from Bioware's mouth:

"Cerberus has procured the service of Kasumi Goto, the galaxy’s most enigmatic master thief. In return for her help, Kasumi has asked for Commander Shepard’s help on a dangerous heist to infiltrate the vault of a deadly master criminal named Donovan Hock. Players must gain Kasumi’s loyalty on the planet Bekenstein, where Hock is throwing a party for some of the galaxy’s richest and most deranged criminal minds. The mission: recover data of great importance to Kasumi, and to the galaxy at large."

This is the first paid DLC for Mass Effect 2 at a cost of 560 Microsoft points for Xbox 360 and 560 Bioware points for PC fans, and is expected to launch in April -- possibly as early as April 6. Until then, ME2 fans can enjoy the free Firewalker DLC pack as of March 23, courtesy of the Cerberus Network. Firewalker includes five new missions and the new Hammerhead hover-tank. Tanks?? You're welcome. For more Kasumi images, come inside.

I have found that If I wanted more interesting choices in the games... I play Mass Effect 1 very differently... With the 700 choices Bioware brought over... It cool and playing both games in a row makes for a long and interesting experience...

To me the Microsoft points was a way to make it fair for every body across the globe to pay the same thing... It was an equalization attempt... because all money is not the same... Xbox 360 is an international company... Some are sounding like Cerberus... Must whole world conform to the way your money is... Is that right? Like in MASS EFFECT we must all find away to work together... That was Microsoft's... Anybody come up with a better way? I am sure they would listen...

Without money there is no mission... In order to have games there has to at least break even... When did that become a bad thing... They other side of that argument must be that they do price themselves out of the market to where we will not purchase such DLC... Also, Such DLC is worth paying and we perceive it as having value...

I don't really know what to think of this. I don't think 7 dollars is worth 1.5 hours of gameplay, but I will probably buy it anyway and then decide if it was worth it.

i think Slymerz is correct this is a glorified demo. i can see bio ware doing the same thing to us with this character like they did with shale in dragon age origins. this is filler, something to milk us of more money. listen folks keep your money and if you need more me2 then pop in the disk and have fun. besides microsoft and there point system is a total rip off they benefit from this by keeping our left over money and collecting on the intrest.

another bad trend in gaming is growing... $7 for "an hour and a half" in a DLC

    @rayken15

Kasumi will be put in the "Port Starboard" side of the ship right next to where Thane is. That's the only room left on the Normandy.

I really hope you can talk to her unlike how it was with Zaheed. Romance-able would be nice to, just saying XD

Dude, this looks awesome! But where's she going to go? I wonder if they'll add a new room? I mean the only two unused rooms are like the bathrooms and the comm room at this point.

    Bioware: "Joined the club?"
Cereberus member: "Yep! What do I get?!"
Bioware: "Glasses for Thane! Aren't you a bad-sass..."
Cereberus member: "What about Kasumi? Can I get her?"
Bioware: "Do you have Microsoft points?"
Cereberus member: "-_- But, but I, I paid to be in your club-"
    Bioware: "Points please"

I'll buy this DLC no matter what just because of all the "free stuff" we've been getting.

Sounds like the loyalty part might be in the same vein as the Thane and Samara missions, with a bigger emphasis on story than action. Which is cool because I liked those.

I hope the recruitment part is better than Zaeed though, where you just pick him up and go.

Nice. I was thinking of going for another round of ME2 sometime this week. Think I'll hold off until this DLC drops on XBL.
