When we stumbled upon this video of Matt AKA mp1434 taking on Crawmerax the Invincible from the Borderlands DLC add-on, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, we knew we had to share this with you. Crawermax is bad enough already for a group, but Matt takes him on solo. See how he beats Crawmerax alone as a Siren in this breakdown of his last five minutes playing, but save your applause for the end when you become witness to the mass amount of loot that springs forth from the carcass! Hi guys. This is actually my video and I want to clarify I few things. This was the very first Crawmerax kill uploaded to YouTube. So the cliff glitch had not been found yet nor did I realize that if you hide behind the pillars that Crawmerax would not engage till you pop out again. Needles to say this is a very ineffective and show way to kill him.
Like most of you now he s a joke but I would like to stress that this was the first kill video uploaded and there no guides or other videos to help. As for me modding or using the cliff glitch to get his health down first and then hitting record. On my YouTube channel I uploaded the full kill (sped up) that shows I did do this by myself without anyone else or glitches or modded weapons.

Sorry to say, that's actually a bit of a weak effort. A legit (no modding) player on the borderlands forums does much much better.

Also in his channel is a video of him beating crawmerax in a 4 player game- solo. No bonuses from coms from the other players, either.

Really?! Really!?! This is impressive????
Im not gonna list everyhting this guy did wrong but I will ask one question.
Why shoot at him if you are not targeting his critical points? Especially if your phase walk has already gotten you out of his line of sight. It's like saying "Hey you! Over here! Im sad that you are trying to kill me right now!"
And not only is it highly probable but I think it is EXTREMELY LIKELY that this guy sat in the glitch spot on the ledge and shot him with a modded sniper rifle for about 2 minutes before he decided to make this video look like a legit solo.
His saving grace was using the phasewalk for stealth but anyone who fights Crawmerax knows that to actually do this, by yourself, the way this guy did it, would take a good couple of hours at least. If you never died which is highly unlikely.
With a high powered legit sniper rifle that takes 2 or 3 shots to take out a critical point, If you target only the criticals and use a Siren phasewalk to escape the beasts attention you could porobably do this in 30 to 40 minutes if your sniper profeciency was leveled to 50. The way this guy did it would be almost impossible if he used the same tactics shown in the video through the whole battle.
I have fought Crawmerax at least 20 times. This guy definately used glitches and or modded weapons up to the point where he pressed record.
