Yesterday, I received a mysterious email from Sam Fisher, protagonist of the Splinter Cell games. I love getting correspondences from fictional characters, so you can imagine my joy. The email contained an image of a scrawled-on passport (that's it above) with a Twitter account in which my new pal Sam Fisher tweets about his life.
Where my tweets are usually along the lines of "I ate huevos rancheros for breakfast." or "thinking of adopting a chimp!", my new pal Sam's tweets are more mysterious:
- sometimes the pain is overwhelming. What am I here to do? It’s good to be able to rely on your team for strength and direction
- relying on rogue resources...gonna need some help. Gotta lay low, but you'll have more intel soon.
Geez, Sam, way to be cryptic! I'm no genius, but I think it all has something to do with Splinter Cell: Conviction. Luckily, a demo is scheduled to hit Xbox Live tomorrow, so we'll all be able to get to the bottom of things.
The demo will feature the "opening segment of the Michigan Avenue Reservoir level and serve as an introduction to the game's core gameplay mechanics." The full game is slated for an April 13 release.
