Not even Poseidon, the God of the Sea, stands a chance against the fury of a fully unleashed Kratos. However, if you're having issues sending the salty Olympian back to the depths, watch the following video to scope out all of his tactics and to see the offensive strikes you'll need to use to beat Poseidon in God Of War III. Remember, we take the hits, so you don't have to.

okay this video makes me want to buy it now but now my question is this or Final fantasy first?

I feel like this is more of a video preview showing how awesome the game is rather than an actual strategy video... If it were a strategy video it wouldn't have shown the beating at the end, which IMO was a big surprise when i played it. Thumbs...*shudder*

I finish God Of War 1 and 2 on HArd, piece of cake I start this game on Hard too I'm use to play on hard, normal for me is too easy.

So Kratos killing one god in the first game was pretty bad-ass, but now he's going to kill, well, all of them. My God, that just occurred to me how bad-ass THAT is. Chuck Norris can suck it.
...I want a PS3 now...

Yeah, two things. First off, this guy was playing it on easy. If you do it on hard, all it takes is one shock attack and one claw attack (when you're on Gaia's head) to pretty much finish you. Unfortunately for all of you trying to find strategy in that fight, it wasn't shown here. Second off, because of the fact that it was on easy, it didn't require the guy doing this play-through to be very good at what he was doing (or maybe just not try all that hard).
Real tips to help you out, for those of you not taking the easy way out (literally):
-Whenever you see Gaia's head lean over to one side, you need to instantly roll/evade over to the other side. If played on hard, just one of those crab leg/claw attacks will take half your life.
-When you see the ground on Gaia's head start to spark, you need to find an area that's not. Her head always electrocutes in sections, so if you pay attention, you can always find a safe spot to stand. Just jumping will not usually help. Like the claw attack, this will also take half your life if you play on hard.
-When fighting the big watery Poseidon held in Gaia's hand, it's pretty simple really. You can block all his strikes just as if they were any other strike, and you don't need to use the magic attack over and over. Works very well if you can time it right and counter all his attacks.
Pretty much everything else going on in this fight is quicktime related, so no strategy is needed other than to simply pay attention. Hope this helps some of you who prefer the hard-fought route...

Little to no strategy is required to do this...why the video?

Yeah a little pop-up that said they moved the magic button to R2 would have been a bit helpful lol. Especially when you look through the upgrade screen and there is no magic listed there (magic is now tied to the weapon you currently have equipped).

Damn... I didn't know I had that drill move... probably would've been useful. Fail on my part.
On another note, this game on hard (Titan) is actually ridiculously impossible. I've only made it to the part in the demo where you fight the chimera and its impossible (for reasons you will find out when you get the game. No spoilers here folks).

Dude this is the first boss battle in the game, are people really having trouble with it?
jdionio
One of my favorite fights in the game, if not in all games.
