Splinter Cell: Conviction Demo Sneaks Onto Xbox Live This Week

Splinter Cell fans will be able to try out the Xbox 360 exclusive demo for Sam Fisher’s latest stealth-action title Splinter Cell: Conviction on March 18…Wait! As in this Thursday?! That’s right. The calendar is not a lie.

Ubisoft confirmed the previously announced demo’s release date in an Inside Xbox video (via Joystiq). According to Ubisoft, the demo will open with the bathroom interrogation scene that has been demoed quite a bit dating back to last year's E3, and then the demo will shift to a later level designed to showcase the game's newly designed combat system. In other words, lots of Conviction-y joy injections coming your way later this week.

As much as I love this news though, it really upsets me, because it makes me realize how far away Thursday is. Although come to think of it, thanks to Daylight Savings, Thursday is one hour closer! Well that changes everything.
