Fable III Features New Continent Called Arora

Lionhead Studios just revealed during its GDC 2010 presentation that Monty Python legend John Cleese will appear in Fable III as the player’s butler!

I wish I had more details to share, but that’s I have right now. Lionhead is Tweeting all sorts of info from their presentation, so expect to hear plenty more soon.

He's a good addition to the game, since the Fable series is not known to have good voice actors like Bioware games have.

Can't wait to get the game and impress Cleese with my farting!

My only hope is that they let Cleese have some say in his lines and allow his genius to come out. He's not new to voice acting (Was the King in Shrek 2 among other things), but if some self absorbed hacks think they know how to write for someone as talented as Cleese, then his presence may end up being nothing more than just a name drop.

Give him the lines and plenty of freedom to do what he does best.

I don't own a 360 and I don't plan on getting one, but this is awesome news. I am HUGE John Cleese and Monty Python fan. Glad the 360 owners get to have some awesome comedic talent in Fable 3.

This is the kind of news that makes me consider getting this game. I've personally never owned a Fable game but have meant to, and Cleese is just one of the comedic gods.

I know it wasn't him, but didn't Reaver from Fable II sound kinda like Cleese?

...and the people did feast upon the lambs, and sloths, and carp, and anchovies, and orangutans, and breakfast cereals, and fruit-bats...

    kinda-sorta cool.

he's an old fart now, and only old farts would really know who he is i'd think. not that monty python is dated or anything. this has me a bit optimistic, as i'm hoping lionhead hired him for talent rather than name recognition. he was funny stuff in jade empire.
