EA sucks they made a boxing game hard to play how the hell they gonna make a easy to play mma game.Yes its true mma is a sport and not a league BUT this isnt boxing.mma is the fastest growing sport in the world and theres one strong reason UFC!!!! If it wasnt for the UFC this game would not have even been made. EA say no to UFC then the mma fans will say no to EA or EA sucks as i said before

He says in the interview that it is not the FNR4 engine, the game was built from scratch, pulling in only some elements (i.e. a modified version of total punch control) from FNR4's source code.

less restrictions on MMA............I want to see how this game plays with the FNR4 engine.

In all honesty, I look forward to this game, but probably not for the same reason as most folks. I could care less who is publishing it... EA has made a lot of good games, going back to games I played on an Apple 2E. Plain and simple, EA would not be around if they didn't have a good track record, regardless of changes in management and those individuals' opinions.
That being said, the reason why I look forward to the new game is because it will help the north american MMA audience grow, both in numbers and in general MMA knowledge.
UFC is great, there is no disputing it. But Sengoku, Strikeforce, DREAM and K1 are all fantastic shows, with equal or better cards and in many cases, home to fighters that have better fighting chops than a lot of the UFC roster.
MMA is the king of professional sports. UFC is undeniably a big player in the world picture of MMA, and arguably the biggest, but they simply do not represent the sport as a whole. Its good that a game is being developed that represents the rest of the sport, if it cannot include the UFC and present a 100% inclusive game...two games to represent a worldwide sport completely... not bad I suppose...

I say just play both UFC and EA MMA to really compare the two. Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and even though EA is just now getting into it because they saw the success of UFC 2009 Undisputed, it still never hurts to have a little competition.

Oh don't be mad Drizzles86
I am sure your best friend Adam Sessmaster will give you some quality time. Sorry if the truth hurts, but come on everyone that follows MMA knows that EA turned it's back on them along time ago. I agree with Sandboxgamer 100%
Don't buy this game, don't rent it, don't gamefly it. Just let it die so EA will move on to different sports games. As for you the soon to be FAMOUS (fuzzy drizzle balls 86) I think you would be happier playing Hello Kitty Island and or Barbie Farm Rancher, than playing full contact fighting games.

first of all if you are a fan of MMA do not buy this game EA dosent care about the sport at all i mean they laughed dana white president of the ufc out of the building all they care about is money plus no ufc fighters will be in EAs game just punk @ss Amatuers no one has ever heard of i hope the game tanks. buy UFC undisbuted 2010 screw EA

I'm sorry, but from looks alone this game has UFC's beat. It seems like it will be a complete version of the sport and not just Dana White's simple WWE version of the game. I love the idea of different arenas, rules, and types of play. It will suck not having some of the bigger names, but at the same time you will learn new names and maybe some new moves will be nice. Fighter specific moves will be nice over half the people on UFC doing "Superman Punches" until their tired. I vote interesting!

I hope they develop a good game. Whats wrong with competition. Make the developers work hard for that #1 MMA game spot.

Well, Clearly the message board is off to a great start with these ENLIGHTENED individuals. Including the infamous GreedyMcNastly, whom, if I'm not mistaken, threatened to rape Adam Sessler over a game review.

Gameplay? I would of at least liked to see some of the game mechanics in motion, rather then have a guy tell us how wonderful it is. Either way nobody is gonna play this. Definately not when UFC 2010 is right around the corner. EA should just stick to team sports games, thats the only thing they're good at.
GreedyMcNasty
I hope you lose your butt on this game EA. Just like Mr.White said we asked for EA's help at the start of UFC game. EA said MMA is not a real sport and it has no future. They passed on a title that sold over 3 million copies. Now they want to make an MMA game? and eat there words saying it is a real sport and they want to make the game fun and easy for there fans. FANS? You have none.
If you want a really good MMA game go pick up UFC 2010. It will be hands down a trillion times better that this watered down sega gen ........hit the kick buffer button!!!!!!! crap on a disk. You should have called it fight night MMA. Or better yet EA presents old UFC fighters that can't get another contract in the UFC lame fighter 3000.
