Namco Bandai’s upcoming video game adaptation of the summer blockbuster Clash of the Titans will be hitting store shelves at an unfortunate time; specifically, after God of War III. Not only is Sony’s jaw-dropping trilogy ender the new standard-bearer for epic next-gen action games, it also represents the culmination of a franchise that, given the events, structure and design of the games, presumably drew a lot of its influence from the original Clash of the Titans movie.

Now, while the new Clash of the Titans actually looks like it could be a fun ride, the game just looks like a blatant GOW clone, which is weird to say since GOW basically ripped off the original movie, which has now been remade and made into a game as well (whew!). I guess we’ll find out how the game stacks up when it's released later this summer.
