From everything that’s been shown of Crackdown 2 up to this point, it’s clear that one of the game’s many joys will be wrecking untold levels of urban chaos with pals who are equally devoted to creating dramatic scenes of epic action on a massive scale.
And even though players won’t be able to share these glorious acts of destruction via in-game video capture at launch, Microsoft assures the replay function will be coming shortly thereafter.
"There's this perception that we're holding stuff out from the main game to put into DLC," Microsoft senior test engineer John Noonan told Official Xbox Magazine UK (via VG247). "The reality is we're just working like crazy to get the core game out, then there's six to eight weeks of manufacturing and distribution that goes on. And then all of a sudden the team's got a little bit of bandwidth to start looking at DLC and stuff like that.”
It’s too bad gamers won’t be able to capture their explosive, four-player co-op exploits on day one, but that just means more time to practice coordinating the most epic stunts imaginable. Sounds like a plan to me.
