It's Oscar weekend, people, and I don't give a rat's. The idea of sitting around for four hours and watching a bunch of millionaires give each other trophies just doesn't appeal to me. Instead, I'm going to be digging into the single player campaign of Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and shooting some dudes in the face. What about you? I am going to be watching it definitely. I watch it every year. I am a big movie buff, so I am really into. However, this year I haven't watched many Best Picture nominees. I like Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin though so it should be a good show.

I might start watching the Oscars when Hollywood learns how to make good movies again, rather than just copying somebody else's work with a new set of actors and a major dose of CGI...

"Film" is what pretentious people, who don't read, call movies.
I prefer to watch movies on my home entertainment system for two reasons: public hygiene is questionable at best and I've never gotten a positive response from the projectionist when I have requested that the movie be paused so that I can go to the bathroom.
As a result, I have never seen any of the Oscar nominees and thus have no reason to watch the awards show.
Not to mention, I still haven't cracked into Bad Company 2 because I have been too busy getting my ass handed to me by MLB 10 The Show. Damn simultaneous release date!

I'll only watch it to see who wins the big awards. The Oscars have sucked for a long time and the only time I was ever satisfied was at the 2004 Oscars.

If I'm gonna watch the Oscars, it wouldn't be for the awards, it would be because Steve Martin is awesome. It may be a longshot, but I really hope Best Picture goes to The Jerk.

I'll probably be watching the Oscars as it's some my fiancee and I have done for years now. Probably be playing Dragon Age or MW2 up to that point. Might pick back up Heavy Rain and Demon's Souls though for a change up to the weekend.

Halo 2 and some others. Maybe get the last 3 achievements I need in Mercenaries 2.
Halo 2 because I heard that people were getting 3 months free of xbox live, 400 MS Points and an access code into the reach beta. People supposedly got emails about it if you were awarded the stuff, but I figure I'd play to see if I can still pick some stuff up and just to enjoy playing some Halo 2 for 1 last month.
I have ODST so no need for the code, but 3 months of xbox live and some MS points are nice.

I usually never watch these award shows but I'll watch this one because I have a slight glimmer of hope that District 9 will pull off an upset. I don't get why Hurt Locker seems to be the favorite, it was pretty good but I don't think it was the best.

I know that the whole thing is pretentious as hell, but I do care about the big awards (Best Picture, Best Actor, etc.) Inglorious Basterds FTW!

Forget the Oscars, I get a certain pleasure blowing up buildings and watching them fall down with people inside. So I'll be playing BF:BC2 during the Oscars as well. :)
