Earlier today, Sony advised PlayStation owners not to use their systems until whatever clock glitch is bedeviling the system is fixed. We respond with "Poppycock!" and promptly hooked our PlayStation 3 up to the PlayStation Network.
We're all still alive.

I was playing Last Hope on my PS3, error message popped up in upper right window was logged out of PSN. And that was it, kept right on cranking through the game with no problems, no interruptions.

I'm trying to figure out why the 360 owners are complaining so much about this being a big deal. It is a big deal as was the RRoD. I think it is ridiculous to complain about all of the attention that the PS3 is getting versus the 360. Well, i've been waiting for this to be resolved and gonna try it since others have claimed its working now.

But seriously its good to know what happens cuse i havent turned on my ps3 since friday. But i have had incindences were ive randomly been signed out of psn,but it was when i left my ps3 on for like an hour while i was doing something else. That and sony pictures should make this whole event into a movie, called... The Day The PS3's Stood Still

While I'm happy that they are back up, sadly, I doubt that SONY really did anything. They probably just let the clock run until it thought the leap year was over, which happened at 12 pm GMT in London, and now the clocks are back up to speed. There was no firmware/update...they just magically worked, while Sony execs are sweating.
HOPEFULLY, in another 4 years, us PHAT owners won't have a repeat...! Oh well, glad it's fixed.
Notes for Sony:
1. Don't make offline games require the sign in to PSN for trophy data before the game loads. Not all of us care so much about trophies, we just want to experience the game.
2. Make a firmware release so this never happens again.

To all the people who are complaining that G4 is biased because they prefer 360.........who cares!!!! PS3 and Xbox 360 are each great gaming consoles, just buy the one you want and stop complaining that not everyone will make the same choice as you.

Update: Everything is back to normal. Let me see G4 report about how quickly Sony fixed the problem and give them all the compliments they can. Oh wait, it happened to Sony, not Microsoft. That means they are going to use 5 more articles to bash the PS3.

We're heading out califoni way to see if we can find us some playstation network. I guess the ps3 fanboys can't really laugh at the rrod anymore. They never know when their playstation is going to decide that they should sit out a couple of days because of a clock. Honestly though it sucks because I wan't to play some aliens vs predator and meh ps3 isn't working. KAHN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
