It’s hard to believe, but here we are again with yet another review of a Dynasty Warriors game. The hack-and-hack-and-hack-and-slash franchise keeps chugging along, and judging from X-Play’s review, it appears that the latest installment, Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce throws in some much appreciated variation to the formula the franchise has stuck with so closely year after year, but it ends up being like so many a Dynasty Warrior enemy: expendable.
“Gone are the massive, wide-open battle plains through which military heroes used to race around like headless chickens. Now you'll move through maps made up of small, interconnected “rooms.” There's a lot more stuff in each of those areas than there ever used to be in a DW battlefield. That's a plus. But there are a great many drawbacks, too.”

They have been doing this game series for like 13 years and still haven't gotten it right. These games are horribly generic with nothing innovative or impressive about them besides their creators' lack of creativeness and their devotion to this dead end series.

I think DW5 was the best in the series, only because it had descent character creation and destiny mode in it's expansion. DW6 in general is bad. I haven't played any of the expansions but from the game play of 6 (tapping one button the entire time with infinite combo) along with what little physics there were (enemies just falling straight on their backs) I probably won't be trying this one.

I prefer dw 6. i got them both and all you do on dw 6 is have all out brawls!!! whilst on on dw 6 empires you have to have very strategic planning and it gets really boring. first off lets go through them both.
