Plants vs. Zombies For iPhone Rakes In $1 Million In Nine Days

PopCap’s survival-horticulture, tower defense game Plants vs. Zombies is one of those games that you just can’t put down, and if you aren’t careful, it can easily kill several hours of your day before you even realize what’s happened.

It’s no surprise then that the iPhone port has set a new record for top-grossing iPhone launches with over 300,000 units sold in its first nine days on the App Store. This equates to over $1 million in sales in just over a week. Impressive.

“There's always a concern when bringing a computer game to a mobile, pocket-sized device that something will get lost in the process, but in this case the overwhelming consensus is that Plants vs. Zombies is even more fun on the smaller touch screen!" PopCap director of mobile business development Andrew Stein said in a statement.

The game does work wonderfully on the iPhone, and it’s an absolute blast. I highly recommend checking it out. That is, if you don’t value sleep, food, or human interaction.
