If you really dig the plasmid-fueled chaos of BioShock 2's multiplayer, then you’ll be pleased to hear that the first round of "aggressive” downloadable content for the nightmarish shooter will be entirely multiplayer-centric.
The Sinclair Solutions Test Pack will hit Xbox Live Marketplace (400 Microsoft Points) and PlayStation Network ($4.99) sometime in March, and will include the following goodies:
- Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards
- New playable characters Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca
- 20 new trials*
- A third weapon upgrade for each weapon
- Five additional masks -- Some items are only available after a player achieves a rank of 41 or higher.
2K plans to release more DLC over the next few months to fill out both the single-player and multiplayer experiences even further. More Rapture? Um, yes please.
Two more DLC screens await beyond the break.

1st I surprisingly really love the MP it it fun and I am good at it(capture the little sister is the best). But I am having some troubles less than before: sometimes I have trouble getting into games (usually hust put into ones already started,it seems that at less once every time on Mp it freezes in the lobby and I have to restart, and when I get kicked out of a game because of lost connection t host I get a loss. It's gotten better these past few days but thy need to fix the MP fist.
As for the dlc I don't think I will get it anytime soon it need more maps to. Also I will be playing FF13 and GOW3.

Couldn't careless about multiplayer, some dlc for the single player aspect I wouldn't mind though.

5 bucks for some new skins, a weapons upgrade, and a higher level cap? Money's tight. Maybe for some new maps, plasmids, or weapons. I love this game to death, but I'll have to pass.
TheFeedMack
i heard its gonna have a player cap increase from 10 to 20 is that true or a bunch of bull and the glitches need to be fixed

Show us some maps, then maybe I'll care.

@ ashkpa
It's awesome if your name isn't Jack.

I just found out there's a guy in my math class named Andrew Ryan... how awesome is THAT?!?

Oh, I forgot to mention that any DLC isnt worth the price until the work out the lag issues.
I know this isnt an overhyped multiplayer title like CoD but dedicated servers is a must.

I'm curious about the Single-player DLC. The story's already over at the end. What do you do after that?
jayislost
This is great and all, but can I get a patch first? I think I actually like the MP but the constant freezing makes it nigh unplayable.
johnjones007
does level 50 come with an achievement?
Socalmic47
I hope they are able to fix some of the multiplayer bugs when this DLC comes out. I enjoy the heck out of the game but the lag and the difficulty finding a match take away from the experience. Still, for their first effort at multi, it's a lot of fun. Hopefully they can also expand on the apartment aspect. That's a great touch, giving the players their own place in Rapture.

The Rank Increase to 50 is not an automatic pass to a 50 rank for those who purchase it. Currently, the rank cap is set at 40. Purcahsing the DLC will set the purchaser's rank cap at 50 (just heightens the ceiling).

(In my best Sinclair voice) Now I bought Bioshock 2 for PC, I already had the original on it so I figured stick to what I got. Plus I really only got the game for the Single player because quite honestly, I didn't think the Multi player was gonna hold up, and boy did they catch me with my pants down on that one. You see, the problem is there's this huge lag in Multi player on the PC. A lot of people have taken note of this and direct blame is going to the whole "No Dedicated Server" situation. The way I see it, if 2K really wants to bring a much more enjoyable Multi player experience, then maybe they should fix how the people are splicin' up, and not what they're splicin' with

That is a decent price compared to other games, but I get the feeling that this DLC was ready in time for the game's release. -_-
H2O Oh Malley
Honestly, once you hit the upper levels most everything balances out. You do get a few more nifty perks like Big Game Hunter and such but it doesn't give a significant advantage. Furthermore, they do really well with balancing out the upgrades (such as faster fire rate, but less damage or shorter range). Unless they release something that's completely broken then I don't think it will matter that much in the longer run. Maybe it's something that will become free after some amount of time.

Yeah this wasnt a great idea, if they wanted $4.99 they should have added weapons and maps along with everything else.
Paying for only 2 skins and a rank increase with a few minor changes isnt really worth the price.
mathiasreese
I don't like the "pay for level increase"
BONERJAM
LOL, I guess I should have read the headline. Anyway it still seems like an advantage to the people that buy the DLC and kinda screw over the people that dont want to spend that extra cash. I know its not much but some people might not want to spend any money.

"Rank Increase to level 50 with Rank Rewards"
I dont own Bioshock 2 so I have a question. Does this refer to mp or the campaign? If this refers to the mp wouldn't that give the people who shell out the money an advantage over others? If it refers to the campaign disregard my questions.
