I liked borderlands a lot, but am kinda disappointed that Brothers in Arms has no news of its sequel.

It was a great presentation, if you think you need to see the slides to get the importance of what he's talking about then maybe you should watch it again and pay more attention to what he's saying.

Although, I will agree it would have been a bit better if we could have seen the slides. :)

Poor guy had a amazingly strong ending and they cut him short..... Great job none the less, Randy Pitchford.

Honestly if dollars isn't your motivation or at least a hefty portion of it, then chances are you wont be in business for long. It's a necessary evil if you want to run that kind of studio.

This was a really great presentation. Its nice to know that Randy Pitchford is a real person and not some robot CEO. Please, as others have asked, try to get some of the slides in the video.....

All DICE presentations are fine and dandy, but please get some more shots on the slides shown by the presenter.

Hey G4... if any moderator or someone with some pull reads this... please go back and re-edit that video. There were obviously two different cameras and one had the view of the slide show. For the love of all that is holy, show what the heck Randy was talking about!

Nice guy, good games. I still can't get over an episode of the bonus round on GT with him and a guy from Bungie, Randy just came off as a douchebag trying to one up everything the other two guys said and pitching Borderlands every 5 minutes ><

Other than that cool magic tricks.

Yawn.. it would have been a great talk if I could actually see the projector. Instead it was 45 minutes of, "oh look at this... on the big screen..."

good speech but god damn does this cameraman suck he never showed the slides that randy was talking about which probably would have made this video a hell of a lot better

He's got some interesting ideas about incentive based development. I've heard some horror stories from people in the industry about heavy handed methods and scare tactics to motivate developers. Sounds like working for Gearbox is pretty rewarding and fulfilling in a monetary sense as well as from a personal development perspective.

As great as Gearbox is I was thoroughly disappointed by Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway. By retconning the story and bringing in that outside it felt really weird. I did not feel Matt Baker's stress. Hopefully, BIA 4, which should be the Battle of the Bulge, can get it right.
