At last night's AIAS Awards at DICE 2010, video game pioneer David Jaffe may have revealed a release window for the next Twisted Metal game. According to an on-the-scene report from our own Andrew Pfister, crowd members screamed "Twisted Metal!" while Jaffe was presenting an award, and Jaffe responded thusly:
"Soon, b*tch. Eight or nine months."
So, unless Jaffe was answering an unheard spectator asking, "How long does a human baby take to gestate," it looks like we may see a new Twisted Metal in less than a year.
The lesson here: Don't be rude at awards shows, or a well-known game developer might call you a naughty word, also: People are very excited at the prospect of a new Twisted Metal game.

I really don't know how developers passed this franchise up for this long I would definitely buy a game like twisted metal, hell I'd buy blood wake 2 if they had made it. Why? you ask because its unique, fun, and visuals are great, I'm actually referring to the first blood wake not twisted metal because the graphics for that game were terrible.

Just so everyone knows, Jaffe's studio has a deal to do X amount of games for Sony. So if you're looking to play Jaffe's next game, be it Twisted Metal or something new it is time to get a PS3.

DPsx7 stfu, i own both console , i enjoy 360 more but love the ps3 for blu ray and some of it exclusives like uncharted, but if something like gears of war was to hit ps3 people like u would spontaneous combust from your fanboyism

The 360 is a piece of crap, stop begging for good games and just buy a PS3 already.
I can't wait for a new TM. That was one of the games that sold me on the PS1. As long as they make it like TM2 or TM:Black then we're in for a treat. Sony would do well to revisit some past franchises in addition to creating new IP's.

I love twisted metal......but it saddens me at the realization that it will most definitely be a PS3 exclusive. I have all twisted metal games except Black, because I do not own a PS2.
