Not surprised really, all these games deserve the awards they have claimed. Still not sure about Uncharted 2 though, haven't played it.

I think I'm going to have to just go ut and buy Uncharted 2 this weekend or something. I can't keep justifying waiting any longer. I just need to suck it up and do it. Pretty good list here. The winners definitely deserved it. Except maybe Brutal Legend. Isn't that an RPG? Shouldn't it have been up against Dragon Age: Origins?

The waves are unending. Just run around them, shoot the ones in your way, open the two doors, and then run through the door that opens afterward. It isn't as difficult as people make it out to be at first. Even I got stuck there until I just gave up shooting them and ran. You are literally like just a few steps from the end.

I'm glad Batman: AA got it's well needed wins. It deserves it and more. It was my pick for 2009 GOTY and still is.

As happy I am for Uncharted, I am really happy about Batman: Arkham Asylum taking home three awards. Let's hope that more Batman is along the way.

Second year in a row a PS3 exclusive has won game of the year 2008 Little BIg Planet 2009 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. 2010 God of war III? Well at Least we know the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences mind set is in the right place.

Am I the only one who thought Uncharted 2 was extremely overrated? The story was great, but the combat system sucked.

Thank god Batman and uncharted 2 were in different writing categories. Arkham Asylum's writing deserves some recognition.

Awesome! Congrats Uncharted 2! Also congrats to SFIV (cant wait for SSFIV) and congrats to Batman AA (for bringing the Batman franchise games up to speed)
mstngmaya36
Mark Hamill was incredible in Batman AA. Like Heath Ledger in TDK, you couldn't even tell it was them playing those roles.

Oh, It's sooo great to at least feel like your apart of something greater than most people think. Conradulations to Uncharted, which is undoubtedly my favorite gaming series. And the other winners, including MW2(although it brought alot of people stress, which makes me question but hey)

yeah it is a great time to be a gamer! i have uncharted 2 and i played it without ever playing uncharted 1. it was very easy to pick up on the subtle references to the first game. believe me, once you start uncharted 2, you wont want to put down the controller until the game is done!
but seriously, this game is sweet. anyone who owns a ps3 and has not played it needs to get your crap together and buy this game
FLP_B01
Congratulations Naughty Dog for making one of the best games ever created.

This is stupid but i still have UC2 in the shrink-wrap because i am forcing myself to finish UC1 1st, but i am stuck on the generator room (where you have to face waves of stupid mutants). I've finished many other games since (currently playing Bioshock 2), but for some reason i haven't gone back to finish UC1. (It seems given a choice of good games on either console, i tend to spend all of my time on the 360.)
There are just so many great games out/coming out - maybe too many, but wow what a time to be a gamer!

All together I think all of the games that won were well deserved. Having played all with the exception of Forza (not much of a racing type of gamer) I am glad that they won. I'm really glad that Brutal Legend won, I feel that it was a very under appreciated game by many, but I really enjoyed it.
JustTheBeginning
I am glad Flower won best casual game, its a joy to play.

"Strategy/Simulation Game of the Year Brtal Legend"
I didn't realize that game was either of those categories?? Strange.
T_Rexx
Well deserved....am honored to have played this game.
Good going Naughty Dog & SONY.
AAA+++

That is great news, it deserved it. I am sure Sessler is happy as well. It truly is one of the best single player games I have ever played. Near perfection on a disk.
I am so happy Assassins Creed 2 did not win anything. It always dumbfounded me how people thought that game was Game of the Year material.
Uncharted 2 blows away everything that came out this year.
