Yakuza 3 Demo Now Available On PSN...In Europe

European fans of Sega’s crime brawling Yakuza franchise can now warm up their fists in preparation for Yakuza 3's March 9 release thanks to the newly released demo that is now available on the PlayStation Network.

The demo includes a couple side missions, some city exploration and, of course, some knuckle-busting combat, complete with two boss fights. Of course, you'll need a European PSN account to enjoy all this Yakuza 3 action, but those are easy enough to come by, or so I've heard. If you'd rather wait, there's a good chance the demo will be available stateside either later today, or sometime relatively soon.

Sega also released a new trailer showing off some of the colorful characters you'll encounter inYakuza 3, which you can check out below.

I just finished the demo. This game is pretty sick. The fighting sequences are awesome. I rarely pay full price for games (ebay) but I'm going to preorder this one from gamestop. (gamestop has an exclusive preorder bonus)

    First 2 minute impressions.

Pro's: The graphics are really good. Great colors. I like the downtown Japan setting too. I didn't think I'd like listening to the Japanese but it actually gives the game a feel of credibility. I suppose that might be preference to some but I've always been one to think that the language spoken in a movie for example serves the authenticity of the movie well. Lastly, the gameplay is pretty cool. It's like a Tekken RPG. The first scene pits Yakuza against 8 or 10 guys. You can pick up items from the club to fight with or you can use your weapons. (nunchucks and bow) The moves are pretty similar to Tekken. It's pretty fun so far.

Con's: Remember the old days when two characters would approach each other for conversation and instead of listening to voice acting we had to read a script and press X to continue? (Marval Alliance, Final Fantasy 7 and 8) Well this game does it too. Given how nice the graphics and gameplay are I would have thought the developers would have taken the time to hire a couple voice actors here. I know it's in Japanese and we're not going to understand it anyway but at least it wouldn't give me the cheap feeling I'm getting now.

Im normally not the biggest fan of japanese games from their lack of innovation and 1990's turn based RPG games.

BUT! I do love bayonetta and Ninja gaiden 2, and I will play this game for the experince I call it tourism gaming, where I play a game based off in a different culture which is new and exciting.

but final fantasy 13 that game just looks AWFUL!
