Gas Powered Games recently announced the existence of Kings and Castles, an in-development real-time strategy game that will place players in a fantasy setting, and will pit three competing kings against one another in a battle for ultimate sovereignty. According to Gas Powered head Chris Taylor: “Synergy will be leveraged, and paradigms will be established. More importantly, buzzwords will be utilized.”
Kings and Castles will use the RTS technology that Gas Powered Games pioneered with previous RTSs like the Dungeon Siege games and the Supreme Commander series. Key features include the ability to zoom to any level, "incredible maps," and "eye-popping visuals" that will run on a wide range of systems.
“We also promise to gouge evil from its shell at least once, or maybe twice,” said Taylor in a statement. “But not three times. That would be weird.”
The release date and platforms have yet to be announced, but check out the official site for ongoing details... more importantly, check out the first developer video for the title. It's embedded under the cut and it made me chuckle.
