If you've been waiting to play Modern Warfare 2 because of the game's exploits and glitches, it's your lucky day: An update for the game should be live right now. The patch fixes the following issues:
- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Fixes to prevent various XP hacks (including the prevention of negative XP)
So log on to Live and fix up your game, soldier.

This game is really suffering because of hackers, modders & cheaters. It seems like nobody has any morals on xbox live when it comes to Modern Warfare 2. But if it's such a problem to people then just quit & play something else because I know that everytime I get paired up with someone cheating, I leave & play a different game time. Chances are that most cheaters play ground war so play some S&D or something like that. Unless you're too worried about your KD ratio (Which pisses me off even more) then there's really nothing wrong & you're just too whiny. BC2 is hyped up too much because it's trying to compete with MW2. The framerate is way too slow than many other games in the genre & menu system is way too confusing. Unless they fix it in the final release, I HIGHLY doubt this will be the Call of Duty killer. All in all, MW2 is a great game, just don't play it every waking hour of your life because then you'll start to get annoyed with it as you would with any other game. Nuff said.

Well I don't know how you messed this one up IW but good job you dropped the ball big time I'll wait till Bad Company 2 their demo is less glitchy and more fun than your pos game I won;t go back.

They knew we were all going to buy the damn game anyway so the infinity ward team honestly just didn't give a damn on MW2. As of now they have their millions and millions and that's the end of that. Business as usual and we gobbled it up. The glitches aren't even my main frustration. It's the inconsistent game play based on lag time and different connection speeds. It's just flawed is all. Multiplayer can be fun but your a joke if you actually take the game play in a serious manner. On that note I'm itching for a developer to focus on establishing a multiplayer game that can truly be a legitimate competition. I'd gladly sacrifice graphics, fireworks and a wide variety of fill for a legitimate win or loss. rabble! rabble!

this game is pure awesome and the glitches just added a extre callenge for me i think all the people who keep downing the game are just horrible at it and that bfbc2 demo is the biggest peice of crap i have ever played for 5 minutes

MAG is GREAT!.
MW2 has been on the shelf for a while. For those who have both systems but are on the fence about MAG, don't be. It's so good that you want to be part of a team, really. While I sucked at MW2, I'm very good at MAG. I just got tired of running around like an idiot.

I'm going to miss this glitch. I personally never did it but loved the challenge of beating those who did. Now when my clan goes in it almost always a definite win. And BC2 is probably the worst shooter EVER!!!! Battle Field 1943 was better than that crap!!

Does that mean that using FMJ on the 1887s no longer increases damage? Then what's the point of using FMJ?

To all the people saying it isn't IW's fault: Are you serious.... Ever since online gaming started people have always tried to find BUGS( a hole in the programming code that the Developer uses ) to get a unfair advantage. It is 100% their fault. The players do not program the game the developer does. I'm not saying that every game is BUG free, but this game has waaaaaay too many BUGS. Had they BETA tested the game, like all the fans were asking for in order to prevent these types of things from happening, these BUGS for the most part would be ironed out. So stop defending this BUGGY game. The exploits where found due to a lot of bad coding. Who codes the game? Infinity Ward. Therefore it's their fault. Don't be such a Fanboy.
