Tomorrow, some much anticipated armor and a shotgun will be available for Mass Effect 2 players. Both PC and 360 gamers will be able to download the gear for free at noon through the in-game Cerberus Network. Here's what's on-tap:
Cerberus Assault Armor
Cerberus assault armor is designed for shock troops, turn the tide of battle against creatures or forces that would decimate normal soldiers.
Increases heavy weapon ammo capacity by +10%
Increases shields by +10%
Increases health by +10%
M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun
The M-22a Eviscerator Shotgun is a longer-range shotgun with armor-piercing loads. This design also violates several intergalactic weapons treaties, so the M-22a is not distributed to militaries.

Dammit my Sentinel can't use shotguns, but at least the armor looks cool. I do like this free DLC, but it's very small - you can bet they'll have us pulling out our credit card for the good stuff. This is just a taste; the first one's free.
I'm predicting the next big meaty DLC will include the new party member, Kasumi.

This is the reason I like the Cerberus Network; I can look forward to DLC and not worry about having to watch my pennies so I can get it. At the same time, the developers can be sure that they'll be getting some kind of monetary compensation for the work they put into the products, meaning that we're much more likely to be getting continuous DLC for a long time.

Sweet. My only problem is I would like to have the hlmet removed in vital scenes so they don't look awkward. I still see Liara making out with the Terminus Armor.
They need to rel;ease an armor that is actually better then what you can acquire for the default armor.

Thanks.. I need all the help for this Insanity Level.. If anybody wants a Free Armor Piece, go to IGN.com. Look up cheats for Mass Effect 2.. They'll tell you how to do it.. You need to have a Cerberus network for it to work.. Hope this will help.. I got the Recon hood.. It's the same Helmet that Thane wears..

That armor will mean I can use 2 nukes instead of just 1 : D. Say goodbye Insanity thresher-maw!
Also the shotgun was much needed. When given the choice between a shotty or sniper as extra weapon its a little tougher now.

Aw, dang. I thought the next update would bring back all the RPG'ing the took out of the sequel. Oh well, I guess I have to wait for Mass Effect 3 to see if they make the game an RPG again instead of a casual gamers shooter.
