Electronic Arts revealed a heaping pile of not-terribly specific information today regarding its stable of 2010 release today in their third quarter fiscal year 2010 report.
Among the upcoming titles listed in the report is a new shooter from Gears of War developer Epic Games scheduled for release in Q4. The report says EA will co-publish the game, suggesting that the game itself might not actually be developed by Epic, but rather by one of Epic’s own studios.
EA also confirmed the existence of a new Dragon Age game for Q4 as well. There is also mention of the Sims 3 coming to consoles, a new Sims games, and a new Spore game.
In addition, EA Sports Active will be getting two new titles, as will the Need for Speed series. There will also be a downloadable “Action Title” for consoles coming out at the end of the year, as well as a new fighting game.
We’re going to try and get to the bottom of these mystery titles immediately, and as soon as we find out more, we’ll let you know.

well i for one do not like the idea of dragon age 2 coming out so soon this year. if they try and make it by the end of this year you know that it will be no where as good as the first because they would not have as much time to make it as they did with the first one which i think took a couple of years to complete and even it still had a few problems.
the idea to make sims 3 go online probably wouldnt work. ea has already tried making the sims be an online game with the sims online but it didnt last as long as most people thought it would. if they made it to where you could download the neighborhoods of other players and visit them with your sim and allow their sims to visit your neighborhood or make it to where we can sell the houses we make to each other or something.

Alright.... Good choice releasing it (sims 3) to console gamers! that just opened up a whole new field of consumers including myself. I would be more than happy to purchase a game that all i hear is a hit. However, personal question, but i was wondering if sims could somehow be xbox llive instead of being a loner game you could have friends perhaps?

Sims 3. Consoles. Now. Don't forget the freaking children, and give us our -at least- two stories. Cars would also be nice. and an in depth story if that isn't too much. DLC can be discussed at a later date.

There is a lot of late quarter talk in that. I suppose most of the mentioned games will probably have to do with the new motion technologies.

Given Dragon Age team's history of putting out products on time, I doubt we'll see the new Dragon Age product until mid-2011. It's going to be an expansion of course, it's way too early for Dragon Age 2: Insert Subtitle Here and plus Bioware said they'd spend time reworking the graphics engine before they release DA2.
Since DA2 sold nearly 3 million copies, that's a good base to begin harvesting the expansion potential: expansions are very cheap to produce and at the same time provide an extended entertainment value. Knowing DA's long long story, any expansion Bioware puts out will be well worth the money.
It makes sense that Epic's "new shooter" is not developed by the main Epic team: they're busy on Gears 3. Rather, the new shooter is co-developed with People Can Fly games, a Polish developer.
And drumroll...
The new game will be called Bulletstorm.

As much as I would pee my pants if it was Gears 3, I doubt if it is!! They said that it would be from one of Epic's other studios and not directly from Epic itself!! Not to mention, I don't think I wanna see Gears 3 designed by EA!! They have some great games, don't get me wrong, but it just wouldn't be Gears of War if it came from a different studio!!
