Assassin's Creed II: Multiplayer Coming To iPhoneAssassin’s Creed fans curious about how multiplayer meshes with the free-running, action-stealth design of Ubisoft’s hit franchise will get an early taste thanks to the recently revealed Assassin’s Creed II: Multiplayer for the iPhone.

Ubisoft announced last month that it would be introducing a "new product” this year based in the AC universe that would include multiplayer, but as a Ubisoft representative just told me, "The iPhone game is not the same as what was earlier announced.”

I’m still not sold on the idea of AC multiplayer, especially if there’s a heavy emphasis on races since trying to maneuver quickly in the AC games is one of the most frustrating aspects of the game. I guess we won’t have to wait long to see if Ubisoft can pull it off.

Assassin's Creed II: Discovery is currently available on the App Store for $6.99.
