When is Gran Turismo 5 finally coming out? Your guess is as good as ours, but Sony Computer Entertainment America isn't commenting on whether the rumored fall window has any validity.
Gran Turismo 5 was announced in 2006 and scheduled for a Japanese release in March. No date had been announced for either America or Europe. Fansite GT Planet, however, discovered comments from James Armstrong, the head of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe's Portuguese division, that stated Gran Turismo 5 was finally coming "this fall, before Christmas." Nothing more specific than that.
SCEA, however, declined to confirm Armstrong's statements.
"We haven't announced a launch date for GT5," said a company representative to me today.
Around $60 million have reportedly been spent on development. The waiting game continues.

BTW Fall Release is gonna be bad. With Halo Reach falling Fall this year more peopel will be paying attention to that then Fail Turismo 5. Im mad at Sony. Screw up after screw up and to think i wanted a PS3 back at release. Didnt get it and got an Xbox the year the PS3 launched and couldnt be happier. I wanted one but as the years went on i was glad i had an Xbox. Sure you got to pay online but thats chump change. At least Xbox 360 exclusives dont get delayed every year.

Well, might as well settle for need for speed shift. This guys are giving us so much high hopes of a great game that I am now scared of a major disappointment.

This game is sacred so i can wait till its done. The demo IS incredible in 1080p and easy to spend hours in. Congrats to the guy who won the racing contract n car. yeah thats right, just for playing a demo. This simulation must be perfect if theyll give a job for playin their demo the best.
Also will be getting a 900' gearbox racing wheel just for this game. Meanwhile forza fans will soon be getting an invisible steering wheel called natal:(

then they're going to delay it futher because they forgot they didn't have all the newest car models in the game so they'll delay it another six months, then it's going to be a competitive release date so they'll delay it another six months, then a year later when there's more car models they have to add to the game and then they delay again and so-on and so-on, the vicious cycle continues and the game will never ever ever get released
anyhow, I don't get what people see in these games, though they look really great, I just think the gameplay looks boooooring, but I'm not really into sims, I'm more Motorstorm guy myself

Delay-station doesn't have release dates it has wait at least 6 more months after this date(s).

Uh when I heard about this I immediately thought huh? I personally preferred if they had gone for a summer release, maybe Sony has something in mind involving their motion controller(just a thought). Considering how long the wait for this game has been I think people can wait just a little while longer...maybe; this game is starting to seem like a myth. Okay not that dramatic but you get the idea.

I don't really mind if I have to wait until fall since there are great AAA exclusive titles and mutiplatform that the PS3 have in Q1...
its enough to fill in my gaming time until fall.
