The next chapter in Ubisoft’s acclaimed Prince of Persia franchise, Forgotten Sands, has received a shiny new site to showcase the sandy, swashbuckling goodness the team at Ubisoft Montreal is aiming to pack into the upcoming installment.
Right now, the site just features a couple screenshots and the announcement trailer, but I’m sure it won’t be long before it will feature plenty of giddying content for PoP fans to run along a wall over.

If it is anything like the SoT triology, I'll be happy. I did not play the 2008 one simply because the prince was different. I already have assassin's creed, so I did not want to buy another one. As long it does not mess up the storyline, many things that retcon unexplored time era do, I'll be happy.

I liked the reboot as well.....I'd like to see them continue that storyline...
the Sands of Time trilogy finished off so awesomely...that a new game could mess with that.....kinda like they keep making terminator movies even if they invalidate the previous film each time.....
that being said...with the movie coming out and being based on the Sands of Time idea....it makes sense for them to go back to it in some way.....a uber polished HD collection reworked to look like the movie probably wouldn't be that feasible...even if they could fix some of the lingering issues that way....a new game just makes more sense...
as said though...I hope they continue with the other interpretations of PoP from time to time...if there's a good idea behind it anyway....

The first few games were great, they had you walk into a huge room with crazy traps and poles and think, "Ahhh, I know exactly how I am going to do this". The last one I am not to sure about what that was. I hope 'Forgotten Sands' is a return to the great gameplay found in warrior within and not a slapdash movie game made to accompany the new movie.

warrior within was the best. even if they made the prince go emo. the dahaka busts out and starts chasing u with godsmack playing, nothing ws cooler than that. if the new 1 is like that its guna kick ass

I actually like the POP reboot, it s had a great art style, it was non linear, and the combat was simple yet it had depth to it .

i mean pictures look amazing, but thats exactly what they are, pictures. no comment until further details come out about this game, however i will say dont fall into old ways ubisoft, keep the momentum going!
